Cig Socket

Looking for a NEW Cig Socket, mines rusted and not looking to just swap out for another mangled one. Looking for a NEW one. Need shipped price to 06479, with an image of what it looks like. Thanks

They're universal and don't fit properly, i want a direct replacement. just personal preference. I also did attempt though and went to advance & autozone to find it, and they don't have the right socket rear plug to change over.

Re: Cig Socket

I don't think an autozone one will work. i tried one from a dealership and it wouldn't push in because of how it's mounted.

Re: Cig Socket

it doesn't push it, its a screw in capsule, what you do is slide the inside into the hole then the back canister put in the rear of the bezel and just screw it in, thats how it holds. it doesn't pop in or out at all. and the rear socket style, you can just go universal, need a dealer part, also i'm not wanting to hack up the wires.

Im running an Autozone one. It fits perfectly and needed no modification. It look exactly the same to the stock one I pulled out.

In case you didnt know firebird and camaro have different lighter recepticle plugs. That one in the link will only be plug/play in a firebird. Will not work in a camaro.Take a look at your old recepticle. It only has 1 point in the center. There is no prong for a spade plug like pictured on the autozone one.Similar recepticles to 3rd gen camaro are also found in Monte Carlo and most likely all G Body cars from 78-88.Im sure there are others too from that era
