Re: dome light cover

speaking from my 20 year experience in replacing headliners. there are several GM cars that use the same dome lights. for speed i used a flat head screwdriver to ease the little clips. to the part that has a bevel. then i take a regular pliers and snap it off there. then i flatten the clip with same pliers and use the magnetic tip of my hand drill w/o a bit to press it back on. this has lasted longer than the original thin foam backing fabric that i have replaced. or you can find those clips new at a hardware store but i still would snap off that not needed bevel. one can even remove the light bulb holder/hot_ground to replace by simply using an icepick to de-press the expansion clips/bulb holder. also if you are careful you can use really short screws after remover the clip like rivet screw. ***be very careful that the screw that you use do not penetrate the exterior but only long enough to hold the dome light to the roof support bracket. got rid of a fancy dome light w/two lamp switches because in my car i was getting rid of all electric seat, i even bought two doors without electric windows/locks and replaced them with hand crank/manual lock styles. but anyone can do the opposite. i just rather old school manual things over electric.

Camaro Central sells them from their site brand new for 10 bucks. Got mine from there and was very pleased.
