Re: Wanted" 91 or 92 AQ9 bucket seats
Sorry, when I posted this I never dreamed that I would be responsible for demonstrating your ignorance of rpo codes. BTW, the "ultima" seats were used in the 4th generation cars and are not the same as the '91 / '92 seats, that's why I was specific about the model years I was looking for. If you look closely at the diagram you supplied you can see the difference (headrests) How's that? Plain enough for you?

Re: Wanted" 91 or 92 AQ9 bucket seats
Drew can you please tell me what the difference is between 87-90 Ultima seats and the 91-92 the op is speaking of? Im very curious because im looking for some replacements for my roached out seats. At the moment my GTA has 4th gen Camaro seats.

I'll attach a PDF of the diagrams and numbers if you want to be sure.

You probably won't understand this Drew but it's the way you told me to do it that started the whole deal. but I'm sure you've heard that before, haven't you?
Re: Wanted" 91 or 92 AQ9 bucket seats
I was joking with you, and it clearly went over your head. Anything else about the way I told you, was something you read into my comments that wasn't intended to be there. It was intended as a silly comment, some constructive criticism, and a helpful diagram. I would have thought the laughing smiley and that I took the time to post a photo of exactly what you're hunting for, would have made the intention obvious... But I guess some people take things far too seriously.
No big deal, in the future I'll just refrain from replying to you. I certainly don't want to waste my time on those who don't want my help.

Re: Wanted" 91 or 92 AQ9 bucket seats
I haven't gone over every individual piece to see if any of the part numbers are different, but I would consider 87-92 seats to be the same, aside from the seat belt guides being different in 90-92. The exact same seats were also used in some of the other Pontiac cars of the same era, look for the higher end Grand Ams and Sunbirds, specifically the turbocharged cars. Doubt there are many of them still out there, but most people will never look in a Grand Am for GTA seats.
I'll attach a PDF of the diagrams and numbers if you want to be sure.

Like the caption says "1989 Pontiac Grand Am 2.0 L Turbo Interior"
The set I've had squirreled away for a decade came from a Grand Am turbo. There are photos in the dealer brochures also.

so 87-88 Grand Am anyway...

Here's a Sunbird from the 87 Pontiac brochure... So yeah, check those stupid FWD cars for GTA seats.

Funny. I told him people wouldn't know what he was talking about, and posted a diagram, but he didn't appreciate my "help".
