question on interior plastics

I have an 84 and want to get new interior plastics in a different color.

Are there any differences in plastic panels for hardtop and T-Top?
Any differences in the years, that I would want to avoid?

thanks
Chris.

All plastics should fit, the only difference you would encounter is the rear panel which will have the holes for the t-top bag. The lower door sills are also completly different because of the seat belt set up.

forgot about the Ttop bag, but I can make that work.

What is the difference with the door sills? I think the ones I'm going to go look at are from an 87.

Did they change how the seat belts are attached to the floor?

Thanks

Oh, and I think I may have found someone locally who has the lower dash parts I need. I have to go look at them first. just wanted to let you know.

thanks again
chris.

The sills will bolt up, but if you look at how your seatbelts are attached versus the 87, there will be a big open space. I think your belts are attached with a open round metal piece instead of the plastic base, I could be wrong though. (it may be 82-83 only, I forgot)

Mine has the plastic base!

you have to open a little door on the back, to get to the torx bolt inside to remove it.

I'm glad that's the same, I was starting to get worried there!!

89-92 plastics have shoulder belts in the rear also. So they are different than the 82-88's

oh that's right, forgot about the rear seat belts.

I'll have to keep that in mind.

Just curious, how hard is it to add rear shoulder belts? I'm hoping to some day add 4th Gen seats to it.

Thanks
