Something new for the center console.

Ok I have an 87 T/A and the center console is really busted so i was thinking what if i removed the console completly and put in the mega shifter. I could put the indow switches in the base and along with the lighter and for the parking brake i could make some sort of boot how do you think this would look and has any one done something like this

Just put in a 97-02 4th gen console. I have seen them go for $75 shipped. Be cheaper and look nicer than a megashifter console. If you got the console for a manual 4th gen, you could still have the megashifter.

You can click on my VBgarage . But I only have a pic on there with the 4th gen dash and 4th gen console. I'll attach an older pic when I had just the thirdgen dash and 97-02 manual console in my automatic.

The console is easy, the 2 bolts in the glovebox of the console go in the same spot on the thirdgen. Dash requires a little more work in making it fit and wiring it up. Do a search on it, its been done a few times.

No. The center console has 2 ashtrays, i guess thats what you'd call them. They put the switches there. The 97-02 console has 4 cupholders.
