Axle/Gears: 3.73
gauge help!

i have a 1988 camaro and i was wondering if i have an electric or mechanical speedo?

Mechanical.

Pretty sure Cammies didn't go electronic 'til 90. Regardless of the year, my 89 is mechanical so i'm sure your 88 is too.

82-89, mechanical. 90-92, electric.

i have a 92 and want to put all new gauges and can only find things for 82-89 and am in iraq so i cant look at my own and at an earlier gauge cluster to see what the difference is so was wonderin if anyone knew and if its possible to put the auto meter cluster from an 89 into a 92 thanks

Welcome to TGO. No, not without major modifications. Not only are the clusters shaped differently, but the 89 speedo is mechancal, the 92 electric.

any suggestions on simple fixes or am i stuck with fabricating something once i get home???
