Progress pictures of interior

Just thought I would post a few before and during pics of my interior swap. I am having my seats redone at a local shop. I am going two tone, black and tan. Also as you can see, I am swapping out the carpet. I am going to go with black carpet. I am ordering it tomorrow. I still have to pull out the cargo area carpet, but I have to pull out the amps first. What do you guys think? Here are a few before and during pics of the progress.

What kinda seats are those? T/A?

I like the shape, and the headrests.

Black/tan is a great combo for original tan interiors

Can you put thirdgen T/A seats in a camaro? Straight bolt in?

Cause I really like that style.

That's going to look really nice. I've liked the looks of the 4th gen TA black/tan seats for quite a while.

thanks for the comments guys. I got my carpet ordered today finally. My seats should be done by the first week of Feb. Everything is coming together really good. I will get some more pictures when I get the carpet in. They said it should be here by the end of next week.

Man that carpet was beat! I can't wait to redo my carpeting... people just don't seem to take care of it at all.

NONE....That I can see.
Since I have had it, it only gets wet when I wash it, which is alot but it gets dried right away. I did get caught one time in the rain......which was one of those "surprise" storms......you know, partly sunny forecast, but later on in the day it storms. Kinda sucked cuz the t-tops were off too. One of those slam on the brakes fly to the side of the road, run as fast as you can to get them on before everything gets completely soaked. Thank goodness I had someone with me that also had a t-top car so they knew what they were doing.

Well, its 18yrs old. What do you expect?

I have kinda stalled on the carpet replacement for now, due to the antarctica visting Wisconsin.....and I do not have a heated garage (yet). So not much has got done right now. I talked to the guy that is repairing my seats and he was thinking they would be done by the first week in March. I will be sure to post some pictures as it comes along.

So that's what the floor pans of a 3rd gen look like with no rust on them

Do you have any plans on doing anything with your headliner? What condition is it in? Just asking 'cause a couple of us wanted to start a group purchase on an ABS headliner/sail panel/visor combo with one of our sponsors and figured thought you might be interested since you appear to be re-doing your entire interior.

Keep us updated on your progress.

Let me be the first to say that looks incredibly awesome. I love it! It's going to look even better when the interior is all put together. Very nice color choice!

Got a couple ?s:

1) Do you prefer the Ultima seats? Have you compared them to the 4th gen TA seats?

2) How much did the repadding/reupholster cost?

I'm seriously thinking of selling my 4th gen leather seats and reupholstering some Ultimas to get back closer to original look and feel. Undecided though. You've really made me think hard about it again.

first of all, thanks for the comments guys
eye candy....I did consider getting forth gen seats. In fact Hawks had a set in this same color combo for 800. I decided to keep the orignal seats for two reasons, one, I like the style for them, and 2, I may be wrong on this one, but I didn't want to take out the "GTA" seats for I think that these were only put in the GTA's. I maybe wrong on that, maybe they were also in the regular TA's too.
I did however pay a little more than i wanted too. I had them done at highly reputable shop. The total cost was a little over a grand. I think that it was well worth it.
Thanks again for the comments!

That's not a bad price at all for having the seats redone. It's always better to have the good shop do it....you'll save tons of money in the long run!

The seats did come in regular T/A's. My '92 TA vert has them (they didn't make any '91-'92 GTA verts).
