I agree to check with Classic Industries for new/reproduction door sills. The '82 door sills are unique because of the way the shoulder belt anchors to the floor(they didn't use a retractor as you well know). The good thing is if they are available black is generally the only color(another one of those paint to match).

Thanks for the replies guys.
Yeah, I've been all over the net searching... I'm running 4th gen belts and these sills are exactly what I'm looking for. Thanks for the tip on the link- I'll give classic industries a shot. Also, Is "door sills" the only term for them. Does anyone have some tips on other search word terms for them? Thanks for your help, Josh.

I will definately do that. Are you sure these sills were produced in 83 as well? I had read that in a couple of threads, but nobody sounded positive. Alright, off to search some more...

No other search terms that I am aware of, maybe in the next 5-10 years they will be reproduced but for now I highly doubt you will find them new, possibly used if you are very lucky!

82-83 belts are different from 84-92 belts, I am 1000000000% positive.

Ok, thanks for the info. I just did a search of classic industries and this is all I came up with: http://www.parts123.com/parts123/yb....Z5Z5Z50000136b I'm guessing they meant 81 not 82... regardless, I don't see a drivers side/passenger's side. It just says "each".

No, no I'm not buying it. I was just posting my search results of classicindutries site showing that they've been ruled out as a possibility. I'm deleting the link so I don't confuse anyone...

The '82 shoulder belts are unique to that year as are the door sill plates. The shoulder belts only have the retractor on the roof and not on the floor and roof. The door sill doesn't have the cutout for the retractor cover assembly as the '83 and later cars do.The '82-'83 do share back seat belts and the female front receptacle as they both have the older style GM logo pushbitton release.I've read the 4th gen front seat belts are similar in that they just have the retractor on the roof and can be adapted for use in '82's but won't look correct because of the buckle style.
I've gone thru a similar problem when I was looking for front female belts and a passenger side shoulder belt. What made my search even more fun is I have the Code 64C camel interior.I lucked out finding a complete set in good condition on Ebay.

Guess I got lucky. Found mine in 2 days on craig's list for $20. Might give that a shot. Saw an 82 that was being parted out in the PDX area.
