So a little break down, this is my first car... I'm 5' 7" and is it me for is it a pain in my *** to get into my 92 Z28.

I've had it since Oct. and its been in storage since then, I go in every once in awhile to clean, etc. I guess I'm not use to how low it is, but I either smack my head, reposition myself 100 times idk why I have all these problems....

Yea sorta chubby too... for right now

I'm also 5'7 and I have no problem getting into my firebird. If it makes and difference, I am 16.

I'm also 5'7" and I'm on my 4th F-body... I've owned 2 third gens, 1 fourth gen and 1 second gen, I've got about 70k miles in on F-bodies in total. The third and fourth gen interiors are nearly identical. The first few months I owned my '84 Firebird it was kinda strange, but I slowly got used to it and learned where all the corners of the car were. I've grown so used to sitting that low that it feels weird to drive other cars, it feels like I'm driving a bus in any other vehicle.

Many people hate these interiors initially, but after a while the complaints seem to lessen. One case in particular: I took a cross country trip with a friend of mine who primarily drives an '85 Mustang GT and after we split the driving 50/50 on an 8000 mile trip, he had many good things to say about my '97 Camaro.

Sounds like you need to get in shape. I got an '87 Z vert and it's easy getting in and out of. Solution: buy a Buick Lesabre Rick

lol, im 5'9" and switching between the buick and gta is gonna be fun come spring. it just takes a lil while gettin used to. granted, it seems the windshield on the gta is smaller than the buick, and overall length too. whats fun is watching my buddy driv my buick after driving his mustang and thinking i have a floor shifter too.

mine is a little difficult to get into now with the Corbeau seats since they sit a bit higher than the stock seats. And I cracked the corner of my dashpad a couple of weeks ago with my knee, but it's all good since this dashpad already has a cracked down the center.

I think you need to re-evaluate your method of entry.

I'm 6' 6" and 245lbs and it's not to much trouble. I do brace myself a bit so I don't drag across the seat at all. Once I'm in it's all worth.

PS; mine has the 5-speed and is one of the only verts I've ever been in that I can be comfortible and have room for my legs/feet for shifting! I tried sitting in a Pontiac Solstice at a dealer and the salesman had to rescue me. When I closed the door, it wedged my knee between the steering wheel and the door handle! I couldn't open the damn door! After a few swears and trying to find the outside door handle, he let me out!

We are new cars built for Jockeys?

??????????
What's the problem?
I have an 02 GMC Sierra with a lift kit and I switch back and forth between the camaro and the truck and never have any problems, it's low but it's easier than getting into alot of other cars ( the doors are about twice as big as most other cars. And I'm 6'1 200lb. Maybe you need the seat really close to the steering wheel like my wife, I know it's hard to get into my car or my truck after she's driven it and left the seat moved up and she's about 5'6".

im 6'6" as well and i used to have a little trouble, if you may, getting out of the car. its low and the seat was too clost to the dash and it was a little cramped.
i made some brackets and moved my seat back 3" to give me more leg room and it mad quite an improvement over the stock layout.

I'm 6'6" and 270lbs and other than getting my right knee past the column (I'm long legged) I get in just fine. Plus I can sit near upright without hitting the roof as well. My brother's '94 is another story.

Best way Ive found for getting out is to spin 90* to the left and put your feet out and put your hand on the sill behind the seat belt to pushoff

This is my 6th 3rd gen. Fieros on the otherhand are a little more interesting getting in or out of

lol im a pretty young guy so i just spring outta the seats (190lbs 6'). but sometimes i drive my parents around, or having given co-workers rides home before and they have a real slow movement getting in...its like a slow movement, then they just let go and hope they fall on the seat, its kinda funny actually.

I'm 16 and 5'11" (Yeah, I'm a big kid.) I just got my Camaro 2 weeks ago. My car sits in my garage. I've been having a hard time jumping in and out. I look like an idiot getting in and out of the car. Then it just feels weird sitting in it. I guess it's because I'm used to driving my dad's '02 Savana.

I really need to figure out how to enter and exit this car...

Yeah, I found this method out the other day when someone decided they were going to park right next to me way out in the parking lot. These cars doors are so huge, its almost the only way to exit when there are items near by.

I'm 6'0 average, and I don't have problems, I don't hit my knees or my head, the only problem that I do have is in parking lots since I have 4th gen seats, the side arm/panel gets in the way of the "smooth" exit when parked next to close cars...

I'm 5'6" and have NO issues getting in or out, unless I'm wearing my Hard body armor. Occasionally my SOB hangs up on my seat edge, but usually I have no issues.

Put me down for that as well, although I usually don't have to push out unless I'm parked on a slope, then it's one hand holding the door open and the other using the t-top for leverage.

I'm 6'1" 'bout 165.

The only issue I've ever had was to occasionally(still do actually) catch the top corner of my window in-between a couple ribs. Stems from trying to open the door and enter the car at the same time.

Only happens when I'm in a hurry, and it reminds me to slow down.

When I gel some 4" spikes in my hair, it tends to cause issues, but hey, it's a sports car.

6'5", permantly disabled (as in a cane, and partially paralyzed left side...arm and leg mainly)

I don't drive with my handicapped hanging tag in place on the mirror (technically, it's illegal to have in place while driving...obstruction of vision...I just don't like having it there), and I get stares when a Trans Am pulls into a handicapped spot, hang my parking tag, and people obviously assume I'm using my parent's tag to get a spot close to the door. That's is, until I get out!

But no, I have zero problems getting in or out, despite having to manually use my right arm to get my left leg in or out of the car.

You wear 4 inch work boots? Are you a dancer? If you are a dancer, you need to avoid those permenant dents in your skull.

I never slam my head and I'm 6.1 or 2 and I'm 16. I just jump in but getting out is a little hard, because I have to push out with the steering wheel.

I've been hit for the past two-three weeks with snow and got stuck 3 or 4 times

I wouldn't say that it's especially hard to get out of or into, just a little more twisting is involved than with most cars, but you do get used to it pretty quick.

personally I'm 6'6" and I do notice hardtops have a little less head room than my car (t-tops) but I can usually just adjust the seat a little and be good to go.

I can't really drive other cars comfortably now, since I'm so used to my thirdgen, driving other cars feels awkward to me now.

Im 6'4 240 and I love dropping into my seat. I drive a lifted Jeep Cherokee...so its kind of fun to go from sitting way up high to basically being 12" off the ground.

I never hit my head or bump the dash... It kind of takes alittle bit of finesse but getting in is super easy. I have my own little style of getting in..haha. Guess it just came natural without me even knowing it. But if you watch me get in...and then watch one of myf riends get in, its really obvious.
