Need help deciding which color interior to go with
Need help deciding which color interior to go with
To make a long story short, I have an '88 Iroc that I've recently been forced to its carpeting removed due to water getting inside the car. The factory color for the carpet/seats/door panels were all just a plain shade of gray.
I was looking for a different color scheme to go with when I buy a new carpet and I'm torn which route to take. I like black, but it's such a pain to keep looking clean and in the summer time, the dark shade attracts the sun's and makes things really hot inside the vehicle. I also like lighter color's 'cause I think they really clean up the interior and make it look bigger than what it really is.
I'm completely torn right now and don't know which way to go. I've done a search on here but most interiors are either all gray or all black so it's hard to get an idea of what I want.
I'll be getting new door panels/headliner/carpeting/seat covers and possibly painting the plastic trim if need be, to match whatever color I go with so any suggestion's would be appreciated.
Picture's of your interiors are more than welcome.
By the way, the car is dark Navy Blue in color which I think goes well with a lot of interior colors. I just can't decide which to go with...
Black? Grey? Blue? Red? Brown? Give me some ideas guy's!

I have to agree with tan being a good choice but I'm somewhat biased(my '83below).A dark blue would look good and be something different than black. And you could go with a different shade of gray. What color are the stripes/decals on the exterior)if you have them on)?

Thank you for noticing and the compliment 83Chevy.I tried for a long time to get that particular speedo(they were available over the counter in '82-'84)tpo replace the dual needle setup.I gave up for a time and went with the later 145mph(it was out of a '87 I believe)then I got lucky and got this one. This way my cluster looks original with the odometer is in the right place.

Just keep and eye out on here but especially on Ebay. That's where i eventually got mine.It came from the original owner that had it in storage since '84.He told me his car was totaled soon after getting it(he sent it to me in the original Delco box even). The floor mats came from him too.

Don't go with tan that is the grossest color ever, every time I see that color it makes me want to puke. Check out my interior color on my cardomain 2nd page I have gray/white with black it cleans up pretty nice but always cleaning it. But if you want a little darker color go with red, The pic that I am posting was a car I almost got and it had red interior I thought it looked really nice. And 1 pic of mine. Also I will be painting my car blue to and I have a blue door on my car now and it looks good with my interior.

i honestly cant think of any interior color that would really go with navy blue. i'd say grey or black leather. i am a huge lover of the tan interior, but i dont think it would look good in a dark blue car

tan is great choice but i honestly dont like it, if i had a blue car i would go with either a black interior or white interior but if u want something factory looking go with any shade of blue u like, or go the hole 9 wards an get the ultimate color combo wich is black on red ....
if u want ideas u shouldnt look at 3rd gens look at older muscle cars the had great factory interior combos, creative and original
