Re: Question about glow gauges and turn signal lever

I got these same gauges from ebay too. the white face indiglo? I love mine. Hubby just installed them today, took about an hour and a half, but that includes taking out the dashboard and the small panel under the steering wheel. Sorry I don't have any pics to show you but they look really good. Wiring is pretty simple, it all plugs in to the inverter. (the little black box) and then you just wire the hot wire to the dash fuse (it's a 5 volt fuse, which is perfect) and then the ground wire. that's pretty much it. the guy i bought mine from had a link for instructions on his auction. good luck to ya! you will be pleased, cuz mine look awesome!!!

Re: Question about glow gauges and turn signal lever

now i dont know if this makes a difference, but my camaro is a 1990, but the headlight fuse is in a panel to the left of the steering wheel, towards the floor, right by your left foot. he just took the fuse out, put in the hot wire, and plugged the fuse back in. my gauges also came with a small, flat on/off switch, which just sticks to any flat surface. so, when my lights are on, i still have to push the "on" button for the indiglo lights but hey, thats no big deal. my instructions pointed out that the fuse for the indiglo lights are very sensitive and will blow out if you hook it to something with too much wattage, so just be careful with that. no more than 10 watts, it said. hope this helps some.

Re: Question about glow gauges and turn signal lever

So he grounded it and put the wire and basically plugged the wire in with the fuse for power??

Re: Question about glow gauges and turn signal lever

right.......just wrap the hot wire around the output side (right side) of the fuse, and plug it right back in. dont forget to ground the neg. wire to metal somewhere on the car.
