Interior Swap

Well, I have begun my swap from red to gray and adding in power locks/windows. I got everything out and was excited about putting in the gray interior and then I saw it. I saw the ground through the floor . Needles to say, that caused quite a delay due to waiting on a welder that I need to borrow. Here are some pics of it at each step so far:

As of now (made drivable to get to work):

Its interesting to drive the way it is now, a lot louder. Always prepare for the unexpected (time wise) so you don't get stuck in the middle of a project like this

Yeah, the floors are in great shape for the most part, but if you look on the passenger side near the corner of the door and dash, you can see a dark spot. It rotted out some small holes on both sides of the car from a window seal leak. The car hasn't seen winter so it is in really good shape

Do you have the driver side kick panel with carpet attached, door sills, t-top roof panel (in back near the hatch and roof line), or hatch trim?

Re: Interior Swap

nows a good time to rough up that floor pan and lay down some por15.

I think your floor pan is in better shape than mine. I'm from near Dayton.

Never thought of putting some por-15 down, thats a great idea though. Thanks for throwing that idea out there.

My car wasn't driven in the winter since it was built, I am assuming that is the reason its in such good shape rust wise.

Re: Interior Swap

I do have the driver's side kick panel WITH carpet and the door sills- although the sills have cracks in them at the rear where they overlapped the rear trim and passengers stepped on them. Should be fixable though...
