Autometer gauges WTF!!!

I ve been looking through gauges for a while now and im starting to get really frustrated. I want black electric gauges, 5" tach and speedo and 2/16 accessory gauges.

Every line that they sell which is black is missing 1 or more gauges that i need. sport comp has no full sweep 2-1/16 gauges, sport comp II has no 5" in dash tach, procomp has no full sweep 2-1/16 gauges, nexus is cool, but no 5" speedo or tach

WTF? what the heck am i supposed to do? i dont was to mix gauges they look silly that way, and im not totally thrilled with white face gauges? are there any other options?

Re: Autometer gauges WTF!!!

are you that blind that you need a 5" speedo and tach? the 3 3/8" speedo i have in my car is more than clear enough to see and you should be able to get all the guages that way Of course I'm running the phantom lineup which has more choices immediately anyways, but you should run the smaller speedo and tach and fit more guages onto the stock size guage cluster opening.

Re: Autometer gauges WTF!!!

Any particular reason you want full sweep 2 1/16" gauges?

Re: Autometer gauges WTF!!!

xpndbl3, do you have a pic of the 3 3/8 gauges? i was worried that they would be too small, if not they will work.

Mongoose, i wanted to get full sweep gauges for the more critical water temp and oil pressure. I figure they are more accurate? am i wrong?

Re: Autometer gauges WTF!!!

so get mechanical guages, they are available in 2 1/16 and are most definitely full sweep.

Re: Autometer gauges WTF!!!

I would think that the short sweep gauges would be just as accurate as the full sweeps, just quite a bit less expensive. Plus I was thumbing through a Summit catalog and there is a 5" indash speedo and tach available in the Sport Comp II line under part numbers 3698 (tach) and 3689 (speedo).

That's strange, they are both listed in the Nov/Dec 2007 catalog.....

Re: Autometer gauges WTF!!!

well, as far as accuracy goes, the mechanicals are the better choice. running tubing is no more difficult than running the wires to the sending units.

Re: Autometer gauges WTF!!!

true, but all the wires are already in the factory harness, i should just have to swap senders. I think ive got the ones that i want picked out, pro-comp2's. Just need to decide whether to use 5" or 3 3/8 tach and speedo
