ATTN: 4th gen seats story
So i found these fronts 01' leather firebird seats on ebay, pickup only in palatine,il (about 20 min from my house) so i figure i would take a ride out and take a look at them before i would commit to buy them. I get there and instantly fall in love w/ the seats. Me, being clueless as to what theyre worth, bring 150 cash w/ me just in case. So i talk to the guy and ask him if he'll take it. He says no way b/c he says he can get 350 on ebay for them. So, i just forget about them, and head on my way back home. I get home and download Auction Hunter, the sniper program and closely watch the auction, slowly it goes up from 101, to 110, to 127 all the way to 151. at this point im thinking theres no chance i can get them. So i keep watching and I set my snipe bid at 177.50 w/ 2 seconds left on the auction. and here comes the countdown 10,9,8,7... then i see 173.50 go up there, and immediatly see 177.50 congrats you win. i nearly die of laughter b/c i got them for half the price the guy wanted for them. lol so in my frantic histeria there after, i keep searching for the rears, i find a set of the same grey leather seats out of an 01 firebird, but just the rears for 70 bucks buy it now w/ free shipping. i jump on it and end up getting the whole set in the end of 2001 grey leather firebird seats in mint condition for a total of 247.50. i think this is a pretty good deal considering sets are going for 600+ on ebay. anyways, i still got a grin on my face, what do you guys think

I'm in the market for seats, and that falls right in the price range I'd pay for mint seats. I wouldn't call it a steal, but I'd pay that for mint seats and not feel bad at all.

Hahaha, I'd like to see the guys face when you show up to pick them up for half the price he told you. Not that he's asking a whole lot, but just kind of ironic.

I'd say you got a damn good deal. I don't remember how much I paid for my front seats, but I do remember I paid $150 shipped for the rear seats.
