Re: Your F-Body's Interior
On one hand, you are right. There are a bunch of threads with interior stuff. However on the other hand there are more than 150 members with bunch of interiors that havent been posted up. I would love to see more of them. If you really search you will find some cool things but they are not in the 3page thread.

Re: Your F-Body's Interior
My interior is so disgusting right now that I wouldn't want anyone to see it. It sits in the garage needing a new inside and out. But I know that one day it will look like SLP_GTA's. That is one clean looking car.

Re: Your F-Body's Interior
Look forward to seeing the new interior. My son borrowed my car for the last year. It wasn't in great shape before and now its even worse. Sometimes I just stare at it in the garage, just waiting for the time and money to appear so I can fix it. Right now working on just getting it driveable. Had to fix a broken trunk hinge, broken hood latch, broken antenna, leaking radiator. Appearance items come down the road. I once had a 70 Challenger Convertible and my one regret in life is that I ever got rid of that car. I will never make the same mistake with my TA.

I'd like to see some of the little (and big) custom touchs people have done to give the car a higher quality feel. I'm at work, so I can't post any of my pics, but I will post some soon.

Heres a couple of my dirty interior
I need new carpet really bad, and good cleaning probably wouldn't hurt.

Re: Your F-Body's Interior
Yes it was....original colour was Dark Red Metallic. I painted it Corvette blue. Looks much better.
I've been collecting NOS interior parts for the last 18 months. So far I've spend over $2,500 on interior parts alone!!

Re: Your F-Body's Interior
So many manuals in this thread! I wish I had one.
Anyway, here's my interior:

Since these pictures, I've put in a new steering wheel, put in leather shifter and e-brake grip, and replaced the ugly regular bulbs with LEDs (under dash and dome).

Re: Your F-Body's Interior
Hey Compuwiz..I like your interior a lot for grey. Looks very clean and not over done. With the 4th gen seats..perfect. I was going to add racing seats to mine but I think it takes away from the look of the cars. Did you put new carpet in there also?

Re: Your F-Body's Interior
But even with the stock seat belt and just the seat, it holds me in way better. It is a highly recommended upgrade.
P.S. - Before I got the seat installed, I had to have a little cushion to protect my self from the sharp angles on the center counsel. After Autocross events, my knee would have a big dent in it from bracing my self. Here is how I kind of solved that problem...

To give you an idea of much bracing I was doing with my knees, the top of the ash tray cover popped of when I took a sharp left handed turn... it added about 4 seconds to my time because I slowed to look at what happened. Imagine your driving around and you hear a loud popping sound and see this thing fly up from the bottom of your car... freaked me out, that's for sure. I don't know if I should glue the cover back on or if I should swap out the whole thing with the spare that I have.

Re: Your F-Body's Interior
Just picked up a NOS spare tire panel off ebay for $150.00
Interior will be done Jan 2009. We will be doing a "live build" on the interior during Speedorama car show in Toronto.
Might get Chip Foose to help a bit as he comes to the event each year and drops by the booth we have. He drew up some Camaro schetches on two or our club t-shirts which we auctioned off for his charity.
