I don't get it... my point didn't have to do with whether it's real carbon fiber or not. My point was that carbon fiber is a fad just like wood grain was. It too will be bashed almost universally in threads on this site soon just as wood grain is now.

Maybe it'll get bashed if it's fake carbon Fiber, but the real stuff is here to stay. It's just too valuable as a lightweight material and has unlimited applications. Wood on the other hand, on a car, is solely for aesthetics. And wood has not lost it's appeal, maybe people don't like how it looks in a 3rd Gen but they sure do like how it looks in a BMW, Jaguar or Lexus.

Re: Pics of my interior!

I meant carbon fiber as a decorative item, not as a light weight component for body panels and other parts. The look of carbon fiber will eventually get old just as everything does. Just look at some car magazines from the late 80s and early 90s. Some of the paint jobs people got on cars then are completely out of style now. Actually, some of the 2nd gen camaro factory paint jobs with 3-color stripes are pretty nasty looking now to most people. Oh and the applications for carbon fiber aren't unlimited... it's not very tasty as a snack :-)

Re: Pics of my interior!

my dads 86 camaro has a wood interior and it even has a glove box in front of the passenger seat where all other cars have one. he baught his new off the showroom floor!
----------
figured my last post would have everyone saying not possible but it is. but so no one gets upset it is not from the factory. it was a dealer package done by choo choo customs. along with paint, wing, different ground effects, exhaust tips recessed up into the rear ground effect, decals and emblems. and the crappy 2.8 engine

Re: Pics of my interior!

i will try to get a few pics for you. my dad has it covered up right now. the link you googled if you go to that and click on the teamcamaro....that is what my dads is but its not red and silver. his is a kind of dark blue and silver. and the interior is a blue with the wood dash you see in the pics. the wood is real wood to. the wheels on the red one are ugly to...lol my dads came with 15 inch rally wheels(i think thats what they are called)

Re: Pics of my interior!

Looks like your missing quite a few pieces to make it complete. I also think that aftermarket wood dash kits look like garbage especially in a camaro or firebird type car. In a cadillac they look ok but not in our types of cars.
