Ok, Just bought my 3rd F-body and have some Q's

Hi all First, let me say.. GREAT group here!!

Ok.. I just bought an 89 Camaro RS with Factory 305 TBI engine.

I am having some normal Camaro issues on the inside.. and wondered if there are better solutions for the problems now:

1. Windshield Washer Switch cracked - better aftermarket replacements?

2. Dimmer switch seems to be going.. working only periodically.. could be related to the WW Switch.. ideas?

3. T-Tops Leaking.. (major shock, right?) - Best aftermarket solutions?

Don't get me wrong.. the car is in immaculate condition.. just has the normal wear issues that I have always found in F-body camaros..

most of local part stores carry head light switches and windshield washer/turn signal switch in stock, these two parts wouldn't effect each other specially since 1 just has a crack in it as far for the t-tops if they have been leaking for a while id check for rust if non just simply change the weather striping and that should fix it

I will go to my Autozone and check on the new parts! I just know before when I had my 82 Z28, they were not that easy to find lol.. but.. that was a *cough* couple years ago.

I have checked the t-tops, there is no rust.. it's a minor leak, hasn't been that long.

Thanks again!

If I were you I would not just replace the t-top gaskets. I did that and they leaked worse. I like you had a small leak. t seems that Most people only have success if they also take the t-bar off and reseal that as well. Becasue sometimes from taking the t-tops off the t-bar is loosened and will leak like a sieve.

I bought OER gaskets and they were trash...avoid them.

Soft Seal is the way to go for new t-top weatherstripping. I had them put in my camaro when it was getting painted. Very tight seal. JMO

Yeah, go with the softseal complete T-Top kit, it really works and wont break the bank too much.

They sell the actual switch itself? The switch with the cruise control and turn signal lever? Is this the lever we are referring to or the switch inside the column?

I was referring to the lever with the switch activators on it.. that is what's cracked.. although I am getting a new dimmer switch as it is broke as well lol
