I have one in my car, I don't think it looks that bad at all. But to each their own. I would get you pics, but my dash is not in my car at the moment.

ok. guess ill just have to see for myself. im not really too worried about it right now though. i have other things to take care of first like a little bit of rust and what i suspect may be a cracked head gasket...

Re: carpet dash pad cover?
ive seen some people (different thread) that actually took some nice fabric and covered the dash pad and from a 10 foot distance it looked like a brand new dash pad. up close you could see slight imperfections but much better than just laying some carpet on the dash.

yeah, that doesnt really look bad to me except the color. i was thinking about trying to make one out of the same material as the carpet and the same color to match. im not sure how well that would work though.

I used the grey because I figured it would not fade as horribly as black would sitting out in the sun.

makes sence. and it matches your seats so it kinda works for you. i think i would have a hard time finding one that flows with my camel interior though.

Re: carpet dash pad cover?
i would use more of a leather type of material. in other words, not carpet. something slick that you could use some cleaner on instead of vacuuming your dash pad lol. although it does look really nice, and i like how it matches your seats. looks MUCHHH better than a cracked up dash pad lol

I have one that is like new that I took off of my car as soon as I got it home. It is now being used as a pad on my workbench for when I work on painted parts
