Need to revise a couple of mine due to changes:

4. I don't have ANY air conditioning parts. Don't complain there's no air conditioning. That's what the large side windows and the T-tops are for. And no, I don't give a rip if your hair is going to get messed up (I might even like it better that way). I've fixed the temp controls, but you're still not getting 40* air out of those vents, 'kay?

9. Scratch this one. Rear seats are getting deleted and replaced with a sound box (deleting sail panel covers and speakers as well).

11. Don't touch my iPod, either... And don't touch my second key. It's there for a reason.

19. No slamming of ANY door, period. Going to fix the lower DS door hinge so that won't be necessary any more.

21. No carrying of longer items is allowed unless you're providing the gas, bungee, padding for the interior paneling, and a pretty darn good reason why MY car has to be the one with which you bring home your 4x8 sheets of drywall, plywood, or 10ft lengths of pipe (unless I have a plumbing emergency at home and need the car to fix the drain pipes, had that happen shortly before I took the car off the road last June).

 

so you are going with the sound box? i wanna see the finished product if you dont mind dan, also may i ask about the second key?

 

Second key is in the console for VATS (don't have the pellet key and needed a second "key" with proper resistance on the VATS circuit)... Don't tell anyone, now. I added the VATS since I never could quite get the bypass module working right and I was running the late model ECM requiring a VATS signal. Which I'm not anymore (running a MegaSquirt when all is said and done). Now, I'm keeping it for starter and fuel injection disable, since I've been broken into before and I'd rather not come out some morning to my car missing if they DO somehow manage to bypass my car alarm system (alarm disables the VATS ignition power so you still ain't going anywhere, fool!). Of course, with my 2-way paging system, I'll have an aluminum bat to the back of their head(s) before they can bypass anything .

I'm going with the sound box to do something different with the rear paneling (fiberglassing in the sail panel indents and covering them with vinyl) and so hopefully I have a decent amount of weight over the rear wheels and won't need so many sand bags in the winter (yes, I do drive my car during the winter, when she's running).

 

A lot of the upper rules apply to my car, most pressing are.
1. No smoking in car, unless your my mother.
2. Don't kick the door open and ding the 40,000 dollar car next to me, I now have to go find a new parking spot.
3. Don't complain about the kicking bass, I freaking love it more then I love you wearing out my seat with your fat a$$.
4. Don't complain about the odd noises like the moaning from my rear axle and the pulleys from the front, its almost 25 years old with 220,000 miles on it, yes most cars can beat it atm, shut up about it.
5. See how the windows are already loose? Don't use them to close the door!
6. Yes that's a Magnaflow you hear, no I don't wanna rip it out for straight pipes.
7. Don't try to rev battle me in your piece of $hit honda, I'll win.
8. No dirty shoes.
9. We live in the desert, there's going to be dust no matter what I do.
10. Only sealed drinks. No eating.
11. Don't you dare touch my radio, and if you battle me over switching the channels I will pull this car over, turn it off and wait for you to use the exit to your right.
12. Just because it doesn't have new paint doesn't mean you can use it as a butt rest when we chat it up outside.
13. No I do not need rims, I have rims. American racing rims and they sure as hell look good on this car, I just polished them too.
14. Don't pull at loose parts in my car! They will be fixed at some point in time. ((Mainly when my ceiling was hangin, I replaced that a month ago finally.))
15. I have a cup holder that slides between the center console and seat, don't move it to the back because it uncomfortable. I use it and will move it when and where I please.
16. Only I drive my car, unless your a hot chick, take your shirt off, and sit in my lap when we drive.
17. Don't complain the heat coming from under the dash, the engine is a beast and runs hot. I rather enjoy the heat.

((There's others that are common sense, like being dirty and pets, etc. But everyone has that covered.))

 

A few things that **** me off but no one really follows unless I remind them a million times:

-Hold the door as you open it, don't just fling it open and let it stop by itself.
-Don't close the door by the glass, it leaves smudges all over and is annoying.
-Don't just throw your **** into my car and scratch up the dash.
-****biggest one***** Everyone gets in my car and rips up the dash cover so the velcro comes unstuck. It gets so old and I always have to tell people to stop.

 

Camaro= No:
food, drink, smoking, sitting or leaning on, slamming of doors, pets, setting your drink or food on the car. And the number one thing is don't wipe the dust off with your hand or t-shirt!!!
Suburban= ANYTHING GOES!!!

 

He or she who brings bud in my ride, must share with the driver. No opening my windows to smoke during a rain storm. That's what the ash tray is for. No more leaving fourloko cans all over my back seat. Last but not least, dont mess with the settings on my CB, police scanner, and stereo. I know my rules are a bit different, but i ususally do a once a week clean out. My ride is the party mobile. I have a nice 92 Camaro for a reason, so my DD beater 91 RS can take the punishment. So far, 32,417 miles in 4 months.

 

I have started making rules now. my interior is starting to get stained!

-No dirty shoes
-If you can write wash me, you can wash it and wax it!
-your tall, you sit behind the passanger NOT putting your knees in the back of my seat!
-no sliding on the hood or trunk like dukes of hazzard
-if you sit on the hood, take off your shoes and be careful
-you stand on the car anywhere I will leave you stranded
-Only ME carrying the tTops
-no smoking unless windows are down, and you share lol
-no eating food- exceptions if its fast food and its raining on a trip or something BUT be careful.
-throw out the empty drink if its not a bottle that closes completly
-rule for males- if you think is too hot to wear your shirt then your walking
-if i let you use the radio and i say change it, CHANGE IT
-dont argue with me or you can walk
-if you have drugs or drink.. TELL ME it goes in the trunk! not a backpack in my back seat! or leave it at home
-if your drunk and puking, you aint gettin a ride. lesson learned on that one
-socks are ok but if your shoes are on my dash, i will kick your ***
-fingerprints on the glass will be cleaned by the hand that makes them cuz thier a bitch to clean
-careful opening the doors they are big and heavy
-do not lean on the back of the seat or door to help your extra pounds get out. I will be a dick and call you a fat ***
-no animals
-im not too picky about when you say im driving too fast IF it scares you, but if you NAGNAGNAG i will slam on thebrakes and sit in freeway traffic, AND the one my dad does pissed me the **** off by grabbing the dash when i stop becuase you think im not stopping.
-DO NOT yell at girls out the window and say Lemmie holla at chu! its stupid and disrespectful, it will never work, makes me pissed.

Hmm... In my Firebird I only have the driver seat though occasionally the passenger... You can smoke it in it, (I don't) doesn't have a radio to change, and no one drives my car, even if they knew how to drive five speed. No touching the car.

The Broncos? If you are privileged enough to ride in it then hands to yourself and no touching my radio or eating in it.

 

To go along with what others have posted I'll add mine to the list...

1.) NO SMOKING!
2.) No mud on your shoes, no dirty clothes although I do have a camaro seat towel that I carry in the back just in case.
3.) No chewing gum, my ex wife tossed gum out the window in my 01 SS and it stuck to the rear quarter.. pissed me off, and I'm even more **** about the IROC.
4.) No drinks, meaning kids and anyone in the back seat. Adults up front I'm ok with.
5.) No leaning on my car, the hood is not a seat nor is the rear bumper.
6.) No leaving trash in the car, take your crap with you.
7.) The only other person I let drive my car is my dad or Grandfather and thats because they take care of it while I'm across the pond.
8.) No pets, don't want fur or crap on my upholstery.
9.) And my car is not driven down gravel roads or off the pavement unless I park in the grass at home. It's not a truck, don't want dirt, mud and everything else on the paint or underneath the car. And yes I even detail the suspension and underbody when I wash it... lol... I love my car that much.
10.) No finger prints on the glass or paint, hate when people grab the t-tops by the glass. I keep glass wipes and spray detailer in the storage compartment in the back.

Well, no real rules once seated, g-forces usually limit any activity. But there are a few forms to sign first in triplicate: One copy goes to you, second I keep, and the last goes to a beneficiary, pending notefication of next -of-kin. Must sign Damage/injury liability waiver, and a NDA ( non-disclosure aggreement) for any witnessing of any and all "Mods" (D.O.T compliant or not), any use of company "procured" parts, materials or hardware. Filling out the Pre-paid Bail-Bond request is only optional, but highly recommended.

10-The A/C was removed long ago and should never have been installed in a car with T-tops

11-No children but my own, who learned long ago not to repeat things Daddy says while driving

12-Careful opening the doors, they are longer than you are used to

13-Seatbelt usage is mandatory for all passengers

14-Only I may handle the t-tops

15-No country "MUSIC" - i dont need to hear about how some *******'s dog died when his wife left and how his truck won't start or how some chick had her heart broken by some piece of white trash abusive boyfriend/husband who was cheating on her with her best friend

16-Whether the T-tops stay on or come off is entirely up to me. If you think you are going to be cold if/when I take them off, bring a jacket

17-The center console lid armrest is for my arm only

18-No bitching about my driving-if I'm driving too fast or cornering too hard, GM has kindly provided you a large handle to hold on to. Please use it.

19-Continued bitching about my driving will result in greater speed, harder cornering, and/or racing the r***r beside me at the next light

20-My car is not a taxi or a limo. Don't offer rides in my car to other people, not even for gas money

21-Only I am allowed to enter or exit the vehicle Dukes of Hazzard style.

22-No writing on the windows.

23-No writing "Wash Me" on the car when I first get it out of winter storage.

24-No trying to get other drivers to race me

25-No hood slides, those plastic louvers are too d**n expensive to replace when your fat *** rips one off

26-No puking. If you have even the slightest possible feeling that you might, under the right circumstances feel like you are going to puke, do not get in my car.


Rules specific to the front passenger only:

1-Due to the lack of cupholders, you shall be known as "Drink B***h" and will hold onto any drink(s) that may be brought into the car. Subject to #7 above.(This was before I installed cupholders)

2-Controls the radio, subject to my approval of the song

3-You are responsible for watching for speed traps/cops so i can concentrate on my driving. Getting pulled over for any reason results in being banished to the back seat until your eye doctor can confirm your vision is 20/20. Spotting the cop when he is already behind me with his lights on does NOT count.

 

1. NO SMOKING...this is NOT negotiable.

2. My radio = my music. Do not tough the tunes or change the channel. If you don't like the volume or tunes...you may leave as I slow down.

3. No eating. PERIOD.

4. Drinks are OK. You spill, you die.

5. No passengers in the back seat.

6. The exhaust is loud...deal with it.

7. Open the car door C-A-R-E-F-U-L-L-Y.

8. My wife can drive my car..she knows the rules.

9. No carwash. Wash by hand only.

10. I smoke the occasional cuban cigar in my car...no you can't...yes it's unfair...it's my damn car.

11. The dog rides in the front..feel free to argue with the dog...if he barks, back up. If he growls with teeth, run. If he catches you...you're going to lose 5 pounds from your a$$.

You sir need aftermarket speakers, lol. Mine could def drown someone trying to talk out...and my comp speakers are the final word when my idiot neighbors get into a shouting match in the hallway, I just blast some metal out nice and loud and I guess they either give up trying to shout over it or something, or realize they're being idiots and stop, cause by the time a song is done they stop. Point being, if you can't drown someone out its cause you need to go aftermarket stereo/speakers :P

 

It is so funny that many of us have the same rule's! Ok i recently sold my Honda. So I have more passengers in my car. I like that many of us worry about how family and friends close and open our doors. The radio is mine and i choose the music! I am also the only one resting my arm on the arm rest And no ever touching my windows, there is nothing worse then prints or any dirt on all glass on my car. My neighbors think I am crazy I'm sure. As much as I clean it, I should have already rubbed the paint off..hahaha

 

I gotta say that "higgy diggy I'm a niggy" made me laugh my *** off, My rules are no slamming the doors, only good music ie: metal, rock, some heavy metal, no rap crap, some house music if the beat is good. No hip hop **** swap in my car, no food unless you eat it over the wrapper and as soon as your done with it, it goes out, no spitting out the window (i hate that) smoking is fine as long as the window is open and YOU dump the ashtray afterwards, drinks are fine with lids, no open containers, feet stay on the floor no exceptions.

I agree to a point, smoking is fine with me but all windows MUST be down, and the fan must be on and the vents must be open, Windows will be down when nice outside I absolutely hate when people fool around with my windows and stereo ugh thats such a **** off.

My rules are fairly simple:

1.) Do as you please so long as it doesn't bother me. 9 times out of 10 if you ask I'll say yes to whatever it is.

2.) No drinking. Don't care who you are, no alcohol allowed.

3.) DD if I'm too sloshed to drive.

4.) DDT if were both/all to sloshed to drive.

5.) Car mods are at my discretion and are my choice alone.

You all have a lot of rules for your car and passengers.
Mine are few and very simple:
I'm the only one who drives or works on my car. No one else is good enough .
As for smoking and drinks food ect. Only by the driver.
radio , temp setting , windows open, t- tops off or on. that is the driver to decide
No drugs, alcohol allowed in or near my car.
And last but not least. NO PASSENGERS EVER. I don't care who you are. how amazing you look, or even if you're going to do me, it won't ever happen. Well maybe if you're gagged and have a straight jacket on, then strapped in with the 5 point harness and a full faced helmet.

 

I love it dude! I love driving my car alone also. Never any alcohol in my car. I know people thank we are freaking crazy. I realize its only a car, but I take great pride in keeping it nice. Almost afraid to get it painted, might send me over the edge..

 

1. Only I drive it.
2. No food or drinks. Even I follow this rule because sometimes I can be clumsy.

4. no rolling down window (no one will be able to any way putting 4th gen door panels and the pass side switch dont work)

8. dont care if you eat just clean you mess
9. theres only 1 cup holder and its for me
10. only re sealable drinks
11. no people in back seat no one fit back there

I'm a grown man, all my friends are grown. No need for rules. My son cleans up more than I do. The wife does not go near the car. Life is goo

But just in case I need a rule.....put rap on the radio and you'll most likely never get in the car again - but no friend of mine would do that - so no rule. Don't need to make this a car rule because it goes without saying - no liberals allowed.
