im looking for a website or something where i can buy interior for my camaro. i prefer it to be new but if not thats cool as well. examples wld be

door armrest
door lock button trim (square piece around door locks)
stuff like that. seats basically complete new interior

here is the harder part... i want it all to be black

Both Classic Industries http://www.classicindustries.com or Camaro Central http://www.camarocentral.com offer some new interior parts but, you'll be hard pressed to find all new pieces or panels for 3rd gens. The aftermarket simply doesnt support or offer complete interior inventories for the 82-92 vintage vehicles. Wrecking yards or private sales will be you best bet for locating the parts you cant purchase new. Otherwise, you can find the parts on your short list from one of the two venders listed here.

I am looking for front seats for my 1982 berlinetta. Will any third generation fit into my car? I was thinking about checking out the salvage yards. Do you have any advice. I really need a new frame, driver's side, mine is broken. Thanks for the help.

 

Hi sorry to butt in, you didn't ask me, but just wanted to let you know that all third gen seats AND all fourth gen seats fit the same. Four bolts takes them out, and four bolts and they're back in. If you can find later fourth gen seats they are often better in terms of support and overall comfort. Not to mention better condition. Lots of people, me included, have found Firebird seats to be better than Camaro ones. Sit in them and see! Happy hunting. Back seats will interchange as well. Just get the whole seat, don't bother with parts

my upholstery is in excellent shape, i just need a seat frame for the drivers side. mine is broken. the release doesn't work to recline. so i can look for any drivers seat from 1982-2002, camaro or fiberbird and use my existing upholstery? does that sound correct? thanks for the help.

 

No, seats are different and seat covering will usually not even come close. Best bet is to find seats with decent upholstery,and/or also get seat covers if you like the look. Sheepskins? They bolt to the floor the same, but seats vary in shapes, head rests, etc

 

what do you think or know about the seats from http://www.seatsource.com/. the flowfits look very comfortable. i called them and i would need to order the brackets and such to make the transition for the fit?
