Re: window motors
Remove the whole regulator and install the new motor in it, out of the door then reinstall.

Re: window motors
Unbolt it from the window and door, it'll come out, just finesse it!

Re: window motors
If the spring came out, you may need to undo the 4 rivets holding the regulator to the door and remove it from the window track, which means you will need to remove all of the other window tracks first (and the 2 fuzzies at the top of the door sills), so mark the positions of the adjustment bolts.
Oh, and do be careful. That spring in the middle of the regulator is a killer. I have a 1/2" scar on my hand from that SOB.

Re: window motors
You're better off having the glass inside the door. Either that or completely out (both of mine are out). Especially if you need to replace the outer window sweeps. I'm going to assume that the window is pretty much sitting at the complete bottom of its travel inside the door. All you need to do is remove the 2 bolts on each track (2 bolts and 2 nuts on the front triangle track) and slide the tracks off of the wheels and out the openings in the door. Which is easier with the window up, but it can be done.

Re: window motors
Changing window motors is a 20 minute job if you just drill a couple of 1/2" holes in the inner door to access the rivets that are covered. Then you can just drill and replace the rivets through the holes.
Now that you've got the thing screwed up, you're pretty much stuck working on the regulator inside the door, or removing the regulator. I don't envy you.
