Need help removing front seatbelts

Does anyone know how I go about getting the bolt covers off the front seatbelt sleeves? I really dont want to break them because I can't find replacements. Thanks in advance!

Normally I use a flat bladed screwdriver to get them off.Just keep turning it untill you find the open spot behind it.It has a flat edge on the back which twists it into place. If you can get the edge to the outside of the buckle then you can just twist out.Hope this helps

Hmm I've tried just turning them to get it out but all it seems to do is just spin.. I'll try it some more tonight and see if I have any luck.

A quarter is what I always use on them. They will just spin if all you do is turn them. They have a notch that you will have to locate and pop the edge of it out and then turn them. Notch may not be the best word but i can't think of what to call it.

Re: Need help removing front seatbelts

Yeah I used a quarter and small flathead screwdriver and they came out without that much of a problem. Now the only thing I need to do is figure out how to get the cd player out... my82roc any ideas? I have the wires in the back pulled out but there is a thick black cord that I'm not sure where it leads. I ask you because I noticed you had one for sale a while back
I'm slowly working on replacing my carpet and everything needs to come out.

Thick black cord from the stereo should be the antenna cable.

Alright thanks guys! I wasn't sure.. this is my first time doing anything like this. I still have a few questions that I hope you don't mind answering for me. For the seat belt sleeves..how would you remove the sleeve without destroying it completely so you can replace it?

It's a pain but it can be done. Towards the bottom of the belt you should see an indent on both side of the belt, above the bolt hole. You can use a flat head screw driver to pry those to indented parts away from each other. after both sides are separated the belt should slide up and out.

Re: Need help removing front seatbelts

Alright lol new question! What does it take to loosen up the plastic that houses the seat belts themselves on the floor by the door on each side. I can post a picture if that'll help. Do you just pop out that rivet on the side?

It's held on with a t47 torx bolt.pop the cover plate on the backside of the plastic and you will see it
