Most of what I'm finding on the web points to a bad negative connection. You should have one in the driver's footwell. Make sure it has a good ground.

I'll check it out tomorrow. Hope that works. You think I could have also blow a relay by touching those wires?

How do I pull the whole instrument cluster out? I ask this because I believe that the wiring diagram says that there might be circuit breakers behind it.

Loosen the bolts that hold the steering wheel in place enough to drop it down 1-2 inches, and the cluster slides right out.
But, no circuit breakers are behind it.
