Really Nice job! It looks great! Im wondering if you still have the pattern for the dash some where.
I'd love to make my own dash cover. The one i have is mint. Id like to keep it that way.. As you know summer sun plays hard on black vinyl over time .not so funny... I can stitch well so im really considering doing something clean with inlay. I dont know yet.

Hope all is well and stay Kool!

What pattern do you speak of ?

This was allot of work. My first covering came out bad on the tight radius's.

The second time I used super clue to hold the tight corners, worked great!!!!

You will never get it like the factory. Unless you use the heated forming method.

Ya, put a pad over it for the easy way. Just to protect it. I shouldn't have to worry about it. I use a solar shield to protect the dash now!!!

It's scorching here!!!!!

The pattern you used to cut the final vinyl.. Unless you just cut around the foam with the fabric loosely inplace and kind of cut it as you saw fit along the way.
I dont know lol...

I just sprayed adhesive on the vinal and the dashpad. Then rolled it from left to right to make sure it lays evenly. Then just cut accordingly.

Re: 1991 Firebird dash restoration. !!!!!FINISHED!!!!!!

I was thinking about doing the same thing a couple of years ago when I redid my headliner. but I stopped after I couldn't come up with a good way to do the corners.
How did the visible corners turn out and how did you do it? super glue and ?
the first pic almost makes it look like you removed all of the hard plastic before recovering it... and the speaker grills. am I mistaken?

Yes, super clues the corners. Took the speaker covers off and repainted them and drilled holes for the speaker grills. Yes, I removed all the old vinal.
