Need a New Driver's Seat

Hi, I have a 1989 Camaro with a worn down driver's seat. I was looking to replace the cloth seat with something a little more comfortable for daily driving because right now I am suffering back pain from years of driving my car with racing suspension and a worn seat. Is there a cheap set of vinyl seats that I can buy off ebay that would bolt right in on the existing platform? Is there a way I can upgrade to leather iroc z seats? I need to buy a new seat because I can't take the back pain after driving any longer. Any help will be highly appreciated!

Sounds like the foam is just worn out. If the seat covers are in good shape just install new foam and you should be in good shape. Remember that even fourth gen seats are at least 12 years old. Unless you find seats out of a very low mileage car, any seat you find will be worn out to some degree.

Me myself I see a lot of like $139 no name plane Jane black vinyl racing universal seats on eBay but I don't know if they would fit. I need to front seats as well. My back seats are not even worn in no dirt nothing.

Re: Need a New Driver's Seat

FYI, the foam from a passenger side is the same as the drivers side foam. It's easy to find passenger foam in good condition

Yep, either that or a local foam/upholstery shop should have what you need.

I was looking at those and wondered if they are more comfortable than the stock cloth seats. Also, I saw that I could buy new seat foam for $150, but I don't know how good it would be. I'm running stiff koni's and sportlines, so I feel every bump.

Re: Need a New Driver's Seat

A local foam/upholstery shop should be able to determine the type and density of the foam, and may even be able to offer suggestions on what to use (Edit: ...if you're looking to improve anything).
IMO, the Thirdgen seats are more comfortable but provide less lateral support.
