I've been doing the interior on my car and while installing the headline I found that the piece that bolts over the t top latch hole in the front that the a pillar trim screw to is broken.
I've searched all over for a replacement but I can't find it http://tinypic.com/r/riygp2/8

 

You need to retake a new pict, and zoom back away from it, your pict looks like a exhaust sys to me, repost and we can help you if we can see the pict much better

 

ok I will tomorrow. I thought it was a pretty good description of where it is though.its on the windshield where the t top latches . its the plastic piece that the a pillar trim screws to.
The close up is to show the actual part (the black plastic piece)but I will take a different picture tomorrow

 

Ok, a better description for me anyways.
There are a few bolts that go there,

1) from 1985-1988 the Camaro came with the upper Counsole the one with the flashlight,
So there was screws tbere to hold the Counsole into place, some cars and mainly 80% did not have them installed from the factory, but General Motors did leave the bolts there as these tops was made one way, so I'm saying that, they should be for the Counsole, and other one is for the ground, for the mirror,

If you look farther back there would be an additional open bolts not used,

You wanted the location. That pic shows the location. The outside top corner of the windshield where the t top latch hole is. Zoom in to the other pic and it shows the actual plastic part where the a pillar trim screws to that is broken. I guess I can take some high def pics tomorrow bit I feel like Its pretty descriptive. I guess day light will help out alot

 

its where the t top rod goes when you close the lever on the t top.. dont know wht its called. you need new one?

 

Just the plastic piece that goes over the hole where the t top rod latches. That plastic piece has the screw hole for the a pillar trim and mine is broken off

Not the molding. Un screw the screw in the pic and pull the trim piece down. There will be a plastic mounting point for the molding itself. That's the piece I need
