Computer orientation...

Hey guys and gals, I have an 86 T/A and the interior was mostly disassembled when I purchased it. I would like to know on the passenger side under the dash how and where the computer mounts, this one is dangling with plastic bracket on it.... Thanks.

The bracket has a point on it,look up under the dash(right hand corner just behind the pouch),you will see that there is a hole in the dash that the point on the bracket slides into, then use two screws to hold it up there

Nice! I wonder if it would be best to disassemble the dash or doable without doing so? Looks like that tab comes off of speaker mount assembly.

No you don't need to take the dash apart, just use a flashlight to find the hole,it's simple.

Had to zip tie mine up, it was just laying on floor and didn't know about the screws, I thought some tabs had broke off or something.

Yes, as you look up, the bracket lines up with 2 white plastic inserts where you line up on outside and fasten. If you haven't messed with this before it all kinda blends in... Lol
