82' Z28 - When hitting lock/unlock one doors' doesn't move and the other fails to lat
Unsure of what to do, the driver side doesn't move at all except manually and passangers' side attempts to lock but doesn't latch as if it weren't strong enough but too can be manually used and work properly.

Remove the door panel and take a look. There's not much you can do with the panel in place.
See of there's adjustments that can be made to compensate for wear to the actuating rods, connections, etc. It might be that the door lock actuators are bad and need replacing.

Lock solenoids are either dirty or worn out - only 34 years old. Lots of existing threads on the forum about this - do a search and you will find plenty of info.

On the passenger door I was able to roll down the window and spray wd40 in the area of the key and latch, that was after I tore the drivers apart to do the same.

So, did that improve the power lock function some or completely?

Completely. Only been three months since I did it so not sure how long it will last. I had doors completely apart in 2012, cleaned and working good but problems returned. Proceeded to tear apart driver's door and ended up cracking the top rail. So on the passenger I looked down inside with window down and could see the area of the lock. Sprayed it and operated it manually and with locks and it freed up.

Worked superb for the passenger side, unfortunately it seems the driver side isn't hooked up so I'll have to remove its panel anyqaya.

I'd take the door panel apart and spray the snot out of the entire lock mechanism while manually operating it with a cleaner/degreaser. Then do the same with something heavier than WD40 like LPS 2. I did this years ago and it's still good to go. My door did the same as yours and I tried the quick fix as well. Lasted for a bit but gets gummed up again fairly quick.

This actually worked great saving me from taking the door panel off, unfortunately I couldn't get the driver side going and removed its' panel to discover the actuator had broke. But thank you all regardless
