Cigarette Lighter - How to make it stop spinning?
Hello all,
I recently purchased one of those Vansky Gooseneck Cell Phone charger mounts as an alternative to keeping the phone under my junk.
I recall someone on this forum having this same mount, and the cell phone was angled nicely just near the dash pad for clear view for nav/music, etc.
My problem is, my cigarette lighter spins freely which renders this product useless. Anyone have any idea how to "lock" the lighter into position so the mount can stay upright?
The product is here if you dont know what I'm talking about. I have one in my other car and it is fantastic for those who drive a lot.
Car is a 91 Z28 Convertible.

You have to take up the consol lid and the bottom of the lighter socket is like a nut tighten with your hand or pliers.

And stop keeping the phone under your junk. The radiation emitted from your phone is going to shrink your grapes into raisins and leave you impotent. (I wish there was an appropriate smiley to insert here).
