85 firebird TA rear hatch won’t open
hey everyone, I’m new to the forums and to owning a 3rd gen f body. I just bought the car Saturday afternoon. Well as of right now I cannot get the hatch open the release won’t work, the key cylinder was is missing, what’s any ways of getting this hatch to open without having to break off my rear panel?

Welcome aboard! When you have a moment, post some pictures of your new ride.
If you are trying to access the latch from inside the car, that rear trim panel has to come off. And it does have two small screws holding it from above. Don't know that you'll be able to get to them with the hatch closed.
My hatch pull-down is dead, and I'm just starting to disassemble my trim. There are few pics here.
