The lock for the storage box molded into the rear plastic interior panel on my 86 Z28 is missing the top/cover of the lock itself. The actual lock cylinder is there and works with the door key but it looks bad. I'm restoring the interior and want to fix this. I can't find a replacement lock listed anywhere on any sites. It's not the rear hatch lock. It's in the interior.

Anybody know where I can find one? Or is there a picture of what this should look like on top that I could show a locksmith?

 

Anybody have a picture of what the lock looks like installed on the interior panel? Does it look just like the hatch lock with a silver metal cover or is there an interior trim of some sort?

find an old locksmith shop, they'll probably have the parts to rebuild the lock. An older dealer might have boxes of parts too. Briggs and straton used to offer covers, shutters, springs, tumblers, etc. They're out there.
