Seat cover material.

I’m about to restore my 1987 Formula. Original owner. I’m struggling getting the correct material for the seat covers. Can someone confirm if it’s Pallax or Ripple? It’s light grey base level AR9 option code.

Slight pattern. Don’t believe this is velour

Re: Seat cover material.

Any suggestions where to get replacement covers? Classic bomber out, wrong color, wrong fabric. Hawks, looks like wrong fabric

Thanks but they told me yesterday that they don’t have those any longer.

Could you please provide a close up photo of the material? I’m trying g to confirm if it’s Pallax or Ripple.

Re: Seat cover material.

Jcurl, your fabric is Ripple. Standard seats, standard cloth, interior color code 82B9 Medium Grey.

I don't know if you'll find actual OE material anymore. And I doubt reproduction Ripple exists either. So you'll probably have to go with whatever material is considered its replacement fabric.

The Pallax is probably the closest your going to find on the web.
I would approach a auto upholstery shop for the style you have.

Re: Seat cover material.

Here you go. This is original Pallex in Medium Dark Grey. Pallex was the Custom Cloth option. Color and condition of my rear seats are about as perfect today as in 1986, because they've been folded down, unused for 34 years and still look brand new. In this pic I'm coordinating new carpet and leather samples with the car's original grey tones, for customizing the interior.

Yours, Jcurl, is the standard cloth, Ripple.
