The 92 RS High Beam Switch

The high beam lever on the steering column is jammed. (3rd Gen RS) I did notice that if I moved the tilt wheel up or down it works. But that won't help when driving.
Is the problem in the column? easy fix?

I did do a search first, new layout is nice gotta get used to it.

Re: The 92 RS High Beam Switch

You mean jammed like stuck in place or just doesn't work. Could be the switch which is down the column and actuated by a rod just needs adjusting to tighten any slack. Sometimes tilting up or down makes it work better but hard to do while driving...

^^This^^ The switch at the end of the rod is adjustable and over time can come loose and slide out of adjustment. My 91 Camaro has this issue. Simple fix once you've done it. Don't overtighten the two bolts and your should be good. Small bolts can strip out easily.

This was the problem and it's now finally resolved. Next time, I won't take the inspection guy's word for it. Blew it way out of proportion.

Cool, the one on my car was hardly working and I also found the solution here. Success is good!
