$1 Cup holder. Thoughts?
$1 Cup holder. Thoughts?
had this hole in my center console from where I think the clock was supposed to be. Ordered a 3inch cup holder off Amazon for $1 and fits nicely. Wondering if anyone has any tips on how to secure it? Should I use glue or double sided tape? Also wondering how I could seal those holes the cupholder came with. I have another coming that should be sealed at bottom and was $2 will see if it fits.

Could cut little pieces of double sided tape to sit around the lip and stick to the center console so it's not a completely permanent thing in case you want to put a clock back in one day.
I would look for a black epoxy to seal those holes. hold a piece of sheet metal or something flat and slick to the inside while you put the epoxy in the hole from the backside, let harden a little, and then remove the sheet metal so you have a nice clean plugged hole that's uniform with the interior of the cup holder.

Might be able to use a thin o-ring to fit nicely. That way if you need to remove it, you can pull it out while still sealing it a bit so nothing spills down inside the console.
