Seat upholstery

Anybody on here know what this seat design is called? I have an 85 Z28 and looking to get my seats restored but can’t find what the upholstery is called or where I can even find it? I believe it’s gotta be uncommon given I’ve only seen a handful of other cars with the red and a few with black, gray, and tan. Any info?

Re: Seat upholstery

I had the black version in my 85 Z... That was the cloth interior that year.... An upgrade to the vinyl.

No, like almost all third gen seat fabrics, you cannot buy those covers... For my 88, I had to have them completely disassembled and strategic pieces replaced...$$$..

There is a company that supposedly bought the remaining GM stock of fabric..... But prices are out of this world....no one makes that material anymore.

Re: Seat upholstery

Bringing this one back up, as we're in the hunt for replacement upholstery for our '92. It's looking like NO ONE makes direct replacement upholstery for 3rd Gens? Ours is, with the exception of the driver's seat, gray fabric, kind of a herringbone pattern on the seating surfaces with solid gray fabric around the sides and back. It's hard to believe if it's true, because we can, and did, get matching seat covers for our SVO, which has a specific-to-SVO pattern. I'd kind of like to keep the interior looking stock, as it's a pretty stock B4C 1LE car.

Re: Seat upholstery

It's a passenger seat,....... The seat fabric can be removed and installed on the drivers side. This will leave a couple seat hinge holes "visible" but they are pretty much almost always hidden by the center console. Seat is $100 + shipping (no seat track),... or $100 + shipping if you want me to strip the seat and just send Ya' the fabric. Send me a PM if your interested.

So you just got fabric? I'm on their site, and looking at seat covers, and selecting 'Chevrolet' results in a 404 error.

Re: Seat upholstery

I’d call them, when I called, they only had 7 yds of Lombardy in camel left. This is the GM stuff.
