(FL) LS1 Long Block

346ci LS1 long block assembly (all aluminum). The block casting number is 12561168 which indicates a 2001-2004 LS6 block and it has 241 heads which indicate 2001-2002. This leads me to believe it is an '01-'02 LS1. Anyways, it comes with the LS1 intake & TB, waterpump, & EGR. It doesn't come with the transmission (or related trany items), A/C compressor or bracket, knock sensor harness under the intake, intake bolts, oil pan, oil pan pick-up tube, windage tray, dipstick or sensors (other than the knock sensors). It doesn't come with anything else that you don't see in these pics just in case I forgot something. The guy said it ran great when he removed it from his wrecked T/A and I believe he said it had about 112,000 miles on it. I am asking $1000.00 o.b.o. +shipping if required.
Local pick-up prefered. Paypal or cash in hand. I will consider shipping. I think my local UPS store could crate it up for shipping.

I got a new fuel rail on my other engine. So I will throw the stock fuel rail in with the deal. I will probably be buying high flow injectors too. So I will be throwing the stock injector's in with the deal. I just removed the transmission yesterday and found a roller pilot bearing in the crank. So that is a little bonus for someone wanting to go manual. I will also throw in the stock torque converter that was on it and an engine stand if needed. I can post more pics if needed.

I inquired about a quote for shipping today from UPS. I guess they have a freight company they use for stuff that big. They are supposed to call me back any time now with a price. I will let you know as soon as I hear anything.

Re: (FL) LS1 Long Block

Would you want the stock torque converter too? It would just add more weight & shipping costs, but up to you. I won't be needing it. (This engine does not come with a flexplate in case I forgot to mention that above) I'm assuming you would want the injectors and fuel rail too Warnd? I'm just trying to make sure I have all of my ducks in a row

I'd use a freight company like old dominion or an equivalent. UPS/FEDEX freight charges are bound to be insane.

Yes, you are correct. They just called me with a quote yesterday afternoon. $750 for the pick-up, crating & shipping! I'm going to talk to my neighbors today. I think one of them works in the freight business. If not, I will call a freight company Monday.

I just called engineshipping.com and they said it was going to be more expensive because you live on the island. He is going to call me back with a quote here shortly.

No response from Warnd, so it's still for sale. I found some better shipping options if needed. Thanks guys for the input.

Re: (FL) LS1 Long Block

I will get shipping quotes for Blitzd247 & you Timinsk, but Blitzd asked first. So he has dibs at this point Yeah, I thought it was a pretty good deal too. I was surprised that no one jumped on it quicker. Then I get two people interested in the same day. Go figure

Re: (FL) LS1 Long Block

The price quote for all three of you was $245 for shipping. That was assuming residential deliveries with a lift gate required. I'm sure the rate would go down if you went to pick it up at a local terminal. I figured the weight on the long block @ 350lbs. too. I'm just guessing on that one. It would probably help the price if I took it to a local terminal as well. Any other better shipping options you guys want me to check into?

Hey Blitzd,
I finally got the crate built for shipping the engine. Give me a call when you get a chance.
