I have been doing research on the forum and see that it is better to swap in a LS1 in my 3rd gen then spending money on a 350TPI. Would you recomend it I have 5K to spend on hte Car?

A stock, used LS1 or a modded out, gas guzzling TPI

Go LS1.

Re: LS1 Conversion

Go LS1 style... I'm speakin 6.0 iron block you can get one cheap now adays. It's a truck motor. you can get it cheaper than half the LS1 price.. Way better in the end. Rear would need to be upgraded if stock eventually but should be ok for a while. I still run my stock rear with my 5.3
