Half an exhaust
Finally got some pics taken this evening, thought I'd show you what I have so far. If you've followed the saga, the shop's bender went down for a week, so after getting it back up and running they took the pipes to the axle and I drove it home for the weekend - only to discover my rear end gears were toast.
Basic view showing the header collectors, pipes bent to get past the tranny to dual Magnaflow spun cats, H-pipe, then I-pipes to temporary turn-downs. All pipes are 2-1/2" mandrel bent, except the H-cross-pipe which is slightly smaller. The hangers were fastened to longer rear seat belt mount bolts.
Looking over the top of the left pipe at the modified driveshaft loop.
Clearance between the left pipe and the fuel/brake lines.
The right side is tucked a little tighter.
This really wasn't as loud as you might think - yes, it was loud, but when I got on it, sounded pretty much like the 5.0's that always seem to be running around. Cruising, the rear end was louder than the exhaust.
The rest will be finished after the 9" that is now being fabricated is installed. Pipes over the axle to an Aero Turbine muffler on each side.

Rides & handles fine. I haven't really pushed it in corners because I've only had skinny tires on.
I am going to add LCA relocation brackets with the 9". Should help it plant better.

Re: Half an exhaust
I've never heard of those mufflers you mentioned. What do they flow on a SuperFlow 1020? Hopefully over 590 cfm each, otherwise choose something else.

Re: Half an exhaust
Im really on the fence about those "ladder bars". I wanted to get a set of G-Force bars, but couldnt get enough feedback about them. Most threads about them turned into a back and forth between the "smart" guys that say they work great for the street and the other "smart" guys that say they are horrible.
Ide like to just build my own. Or modify my Spohn bars if nothing else.

Nice setup, how do you keep the underside of your car so clean? My car had to have seen salted roads at some point lol

Berlinetta #1 is a completely different story. Although, it isn't too bad, either. Usually need to clean up and repaint a spot or two every year. Mostly, though, it gets its "undercoating" from the Gen I SBC. . .

I love the dual exhaust. How does it clear on the driver's side? I couldnt tell from the photos.

Re: Half an exhaust
Haven't seen flow numbers. It's an unbaffled design, though.

I had a single 3" version on my '84 full size conversion van w/350. It made a big difference over the original 3" inlet/dual 2-1/4" outlet muffler that was on there.
Also not sure how a steady flow from a flow bench would compare to the pulsed flow of real-world exhaust.
(And, I already have the mufflers. . .)
