92 (Vette ) and 93 LT1 had a different computer to 94/95
The early ones had a removable chip like the TPI cars ; the later ones have the memory built in
Almost impossible to get a aftermarket harness for early style computer
Some small changes ; different plugs on coil /Optispark but no problems using later computer and aftermarket harness on early motor

It changed from an ECM in '93 to a PCM from '94 on (controlling both the engine and transmission).

What transmission will you be using? Why not use the '95?

If you're getting the '95 PCM, why not get the harness? (Assuming it's still with the car.)

Re: ECM

If your buying an aftermarket harness, go with the latest pcm available... Which in your case is the 95.

Re: ECM

Break downs for LT1s are:

92-93 SD TPI style ECM
94-95 OBDI PCM
96-97 OBDII PCM

Generally, swappers opt for the OBDI PCMs for the cheaper more common tuning software. If you've got the software, theres no major difference from OBDI to OBDII. The old SD ECMs are a major pain since they use the old chips that must be removed and reflashed with each change. Everything else is adjusted on the fly

Even better, 94-95 PCMs fit 94-97 harnesses directly, but the later PCMs cannot be used on the older harnesses from the addition of a few critical wires(older PCMs simply dont use those pins)

Re: ECM

Re: ECM

Thats right

Depending on the year T5, the VSS connector may or may not fit. Splicing in a new one will solve the issue. Be careful with older VSS' as GM switched the wire functions with respect to color for no apparent reason. If you hook them up and the PCM registers no signal, try reversing them
