Took a big step forward
After some annoying set backs, I fired the engine up. This was a brand new block with my first heads/cam/intake swap. It literally wanted to run instantly.
After a short run and flames out the passenger header I shut it down. Super rich on one side and squeeky clean on the other. A check of the DTC's showed no MAF or MAP voltage. A quick look reveiled no voltage on the drivers side coils either! A quick wiring change gave me 12V on all three.
This is what I was rewarded with:

Awesome. The first fire is always a great feeling of accomplishment
Amazing how much can be wrong with the engines and they still run too. A LSx engine can actually run on only 2 cyls

I know all about running on only a few cylinders. When I fired it up for the first time I'm like yay sounds good to me and my buddys like dude, does this white connector need to be plugged into all the coils on the passenger side? I was like WTF. Plugged it back it fired it up and it sounded even better lol

Well I'm glad I'm not the only one! Thanks for the kind words.
My new task is to stuff a 4" intake into the left or right side and make the Y-pipe.

The battery made it to the trunk to unclutter the engine bay... It was on the drivers side.
I did have my old intake on the passenger side, but the port I used for the steam vent interferes. I think I can plumb that back into the water pump without issues.

No, SLP high flows. I have a set of 3" spun cats as well, but they are reserved for the G8

Re: Took a big step forward
It seems I have taken a few steps forward and a huge one back. The 4" aluminum tubing was a total PITA to MIG weld but with several hours of cleanup grinding it's a lot more clean looking.
Although low, the y-pipe is a snap to remove since I used v-band connectors.
Tuning is becoming a headache. The last time I started the car it wasn't running well. This time it refused to start.. for the entire day I worked on it. It seems the start up tune is/was/has been waaaay too rich which has totally fouled the plugs. After cleaning and regapping them and a ton of WOT cranking I had 2 of the cylinders lighting off. Not happy. I ordered new plugs (buying NGK TR55's locally is a joke). I'm going back to my start up tune using the MAF/MAP and hopefully it will be ok. Ive been using a SD only file for awhile as I tinker with it.. unsuccessfully it would appear.

Re: Took a big step forward
I actually re-did my 4" intake and it doesn't hit the radiator at all anymore, and it's on the driver side. I'm gonna make a thread on it because I think some of you might find it useful.
