LS6 intake questions
Picked up an LS6 intake without a throttle body and now I'm trying to figure out which TB I need. Can some of the guys who have used an LS6 intake chime in on which TB you used, did you use LS1 or LS6? I know the LS1 is 78mm and the LS6 is 85mm. My harness has a 5 wire provision for a MAF. Seems all LS6 TB are 5 wire and LS1 3 wire. Can the MAF be eliminated?
Which TB did you use and why?

Re: LS6 intake questions
LS1, LS6 both used the same 78mm TB
Trucks use a 5 wire 85mm MAF. Its the same 3 wire MAF as the cars, but incorporates the IAT into the mix for a highly accurate (and larger opening) sensor. LT1/LS1/CPI trucks all use the 75mm 3 wire MAF
The MAF can be deleted with a speed density tune. If you dont have a good reason to run SD, I wouldnt

Re: LS6 intake questions
You should just be able to use your old throttle body and maf unless you want to upgrade those as well. If you are planning to get your computer tuned i would use the 85mm maf.

Re: LS6 intake questions
I would but the truck TB is DBW and doesn't come with a MAF or I would have reused it

Re: LS6 intake questions
It's possible that they do, but it's not my first choice to buy stuff from. Do they have what you need? Yes...do they have what you need at a reasonable price? No.
I've got the MAF issue handled and will just use the 5 wire and make it work
