what is needed for lt1 or ls1 dual fan setup?
currently i have a 92 camaro rs that was a v6 and was swapped for a 350 tpi from previous owner. at the moment it only has a single fan setup that isnt wired right, its wired to be on constantly and i dont know where to look for the stock wiring setup. so my main thing is, what is needed for a lt1/ls1 dual fan swap and where do i begin to look for the fan wiring? haynes manual kinda vague on electrical side of camaros :P, well at least to some1 that is learning electrical at the moment on my camaro :P. any help would greatly be appreciated

I'm trying to understand exactly what you're asking here. If you're asking how to get 4th gen LT1 or LS1 fans to work with TPI, my question is, "Why?" Do you have access to a 4th gen fan pair? I can tell you they physically mount differently, so IMO, it's not a good place to start.
It makes more sense to get a 3rd gen dual fan set-up (in fact, I got 3rd gen dual fan set-ups for both of my LS1 swaps). Use the 3rd gen TPI system stuff to control them.

i put a set of 4th gen fans on my 92 rs. made some aluminum brackets to mount it and a flexalite controller. when i do my ls swap it will be ecm controlled.

I modified the 4th gen LT1 plastic shroud with a dremel by cutting it in half length-wise and used a 4th Gen LT1 radiator. I cut the "tabs" on the back of the radiator so the 3rdGen condenser would fit. The "tabs" are for the 4thGen condenser and are solid not hollow, so can be easily cut off.

It's fairly easy to find all of the parts. I bolted in 3rd gen dual fans to both of my '82's, both of which came with mechanical fans from the factory.
3rd gen fans may not be shrouded, but they don't need to be. Unshrouded makes the cooling system more efficient when the fans aren't on.

dont tell that too all the manufactures then. i believe 99% of all cars have some kind of shroud on them.
air will move thru a radiator whether or not a shroud is present.

Regardless of which system cools better, they both work fine. Your best bet is to find 3rd gen dual fans as they will be slightly more readily available, and you could just cut all the wiring for them out.
And choice #2 get either pair of fans or some aftermarket, whatever, get connectors for the fans and a painless electric fan kit. Reasonably priced and will come with all the directions you will need, very simple.

should i just get a set up like this? http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/2-12-...ht_3596wt_1165.
and if my fan runs constantly would the CTS be bad? cuz the relay has 4 wires... one goes to fuse box, one hot at all times, one to fan, and one wire that goes to ECM since the fan switch and CTS is wired to the ECM. So should i just cut the wire that leads to ECM from the fan relay and install a fan pressure switch to turn on both fans at once as if the were one?

And like I mentioned before the 3rd option is to buy a painless wiring kit and they will come on at 185 degrees and you never have to worry about forgetting to hit the switch.

Re: what is needed for lt1 or ls1 dual fan setup?
but would it still work if i just cut the wire at the relay that goes to the ecm and install a fan switch to hook it up to? just want to make sure it wont make the check engine light pop up. cuz tomorrow ima prep it to hook up to the fan switch but ill just have to buy a connector for it later. im also gonna drain my coolant since it has 70/30 and ima make it back to 50/50. then im goin to make sure all the fins are straight on the a/c condenser so then ill know the fan is pulling all the air it can. then hopefully sometime this week i can get a timing light from my cousin and set the correct timing. if im missing my label, would i just set timing to 0 degrees?
