Re: newbee, my swap

Couple questions... Why did you not go with the fbody oil pan? And why the 700R4?

Re: newbee, my swap

pretty cool looking project, keep the photos (and details) coming!

curious about the DS - why is it longer than the stock one? you should be able to run a stock length with a swap like this. did you change rears?

Re: newbee, my swap

might have to check the hawks headers if fitment is your only issue. i think that guys were having issues early on with automatics and the 02 sensor fitment. if i remember right, hawks moved the bungs and fixed the issue. if the $ is the problem (like me) we're probably sol.

otherwise, keep the pics coming, we love engine pics.

Re: newbee, my swap

I have the headers. It was a pain in the dick to get the sensors on. I had to plug it and position the drivers side o2 sensor further up the header

Don't forget to get a stronger rear. That stock pos is gona grenade on the first pull. Believe me I learned the hard way. Lol

Hits in the front? That's new news to me. I had read about it hanging too low. I can't help but wonder how it would do with my Moroso solid mounts and my 5/16" mount adapters.
If gad wants to sell, and if the price is right, I'd try it and get pics.
Oh, by the way, that hitting in front, is that just the stock crossmember, or is that with a tubular version?

Really nice! It's mighty tempting to buy the 6LS system for my car and say enough is enough with my hacked harness. Need a cowl hood though
