BRP headers

any one running them yet? i see they're available in:

1 3/4"x3"
1 3/4"-1 7/8"x3" stepped
1 7/8" x 3"
1 7/8"-2"x3" stepped
2"x3"

i'd love to see a fitment picture of these. they're coated MS, not stainless like the SSW headers, and are priced a little more appropriately. they're produced by Hedman's Hustler division and they're pretty nice looking. i don't know the advantage of the collector design, if any over a traditional collector, but i'd imagine the ground clearance is OK.

those look pretty cool, that's a different look for the collectors though.

Re: BRP headers

I'm curious to see how they fit. Pics of the pre-production units didn't appear to offer any better ground clearance than the Hawks headers.

I would be interested in seeing how they fit as well. I have a set of 1.75 Hawks but would love a 2" set and not have to pay 1200 to get them.

Re: BRP headers

Yeah, I have my eye on the 1 7/8s. I like the Hawks headers, but I would prefer 1 7/8 to 1 3/4.

Yikes. Those don't look worth the hassle, I'll spend the money on hawks when I finally do a swap.

What do you mean, the real sets? Those are the real sets. I got that picture from BRP just a few months ago.

Re: BRP headers

That pic is downright disgusting. Those A-arms must be a prototype design too. Full of quality workmanship

I talked to these guys when I was shopping for headers and they would not guarantee a fit unless you used there motor mounts too.

I went elsewhere ...

That pic is one of the many pics they posted a couple years ago of their mock-up set. That is NOT a pic of their production set. They've said over on 'tech that they do not have any installed pics of their production set.

Re: BRP headers

In all fairness to BRP, check out there site.
http://www.brphotrods.com/mm5/mercha...gory_Code=CNV3

When I was searching for headers, I really liked there idea of the stepped primaries as they provide the best of both worlds for performance.

The only caution, is that they suggest you run there F-body conversion kit as well to ensure proper fitment.

Re: BRP headers

interested in these as well....but they would have to work with swap plates or i will have to stick with the SSW version.

some 1 3/4" to 1 7/8" stepped would be awesome.

they sure do look goofy though.....

Re: BRP headers

i've been in contact with Jeff from BRP.

there is a design change in the works.

i'll keep you posted as i hear anything...i will say if they deliver on what he is saying, SSW will have a serious competitor.

What kind of changes are they talking about and did they give any sort of time line for them to be released?

Re: BRP headers

well, collector design is one of them. jeff didn't give me a time line yet. they're held up because he needs to wait till SEMA to talk with hustler. i am also going to be helping some, and my schedule is packed out with school stuff this semester. just be patient, lol.

Re: BRP headers

more like 2" primary and 3.5" collector if they're planning on building them, I still think I'll be cutting the inner front subframe off and tubing it like others have done and make another set of headers, if I motor plate the car, I'll have plenty of room to do it easily enough.

Ancient post, but did they change anything? Their web site still shows the huge flat collector design.

Ok. Looks like I"ll be going with either the BRP mid-tube headers or factory 2010 style log headers on my swap. Just not sure how they'll go around my auto trans.

Any chance you have top and bottom pictures of them installed? Also, what other engine stuff have you done to your 6.0? That's the same motor I will be putting in my car.

Just search for hedman hustler mids and you can find my build thread. Lots of pictures and info. LQ9 has FMS F13 cam, LS6 intake, 41.5lb Buick white injectors, and Comp 918 springs.
