Lt1 Ecu auto to manual

I was wondering about going about this. It's a obd1 computer. Do I need a chip or can I just use a resistor?

Re: Lt1 Ecu auto to manual

As stated above it will work , if you have any decelleration issues you should have reprograming done. The sa is more aggressive for a automatic tune but still will not ping.
If the is a 93 ecm service number 16159278 it has a memcal that contains a uv erasable eprom that can be reprogramed. The 94-95 16181333 or 16188051 t1 used a flashed based prom and will cost you alot more to get reprogramed.

Well I have heard that if you transplant a newer engine into a older car that still has to smog it has to meet the same type of emissions as the engines year. So the referee has to pass the car to smog it? Is this true? I would love to just skip this stage. I'm sure it will ride fine but I can't have any type of engine alerts popping up on the dash to pass smog
