Nice!!! Your motor color combo looks pretty close to what I just put together!!
And every time one of you guys with a white engine bay does a build I get really jealous and its the ONLY time I contemplate going to white haha. Man you just cant beat a nice bright clean white engine bay with a bad *** clean motor sitting in there.
Cant wait to see it wrap up!

Re: LS1 Swap Crew: This is my Supercharged LS1 swap thread
I also use the 4th gen vert top switch for my cut out. Volume Up - Volume Down
I had a gauge mounted next to it for a while, but didnt like having to look down that far to see it. Plus the little panel broke when I tried to remove and reinstall the gauge later. But I ended up re-vamping my dash and got a new panel to just house the switch.
Of course mine was a more complicated gauge requiring more than a glance sometimes too.
That blower looks sexy sitting in there.

Re: LS1 Swap Crew: This is my Supercharged LS1 swap thread
The dana was in my buddies 88 GTA and dealt with 650rwhp for three years. One day he said he thought he felt the posi giving out and instead of blowing up the rear he sold it back to me because he knew I wanted it.
I'm confident it will hold up fine for me and my driving. If it blows, its super cheap to rebuild as opposed to the 9 bolt I had before. I think I paid almost $600 in parts alone for that rear lol

4thgen fuel tank prepped and ready for install. Includes a pair of walbro 255 fuel pumps set up by Lonnies Performance, and custom -8 feed and -6 return lines. Primary pump runs 100% of the time, secondary pump is activated by a hobbs switch which turns on that pump at 4 pounds or more of boost.

Re: LS1 Swap Crew: This is my Supercharged LS1 swap thread
Off to the fabricators it goes
He will make:
-4" cold air induction
-Hook up my exhaust
-Custom baffled reservoir to hold engine and supercharger coolant
-Windshield washer reservoir (maybe)
and probably some other stuff I've forgotten

I hope your intercooler and engine coolant tanks are separate because the operating temps are very different

IF, you're going to use flange w/t-bolt v-band clamps on the exhaust, I have xtra stainless t-bolts if needed.

What clutch are you going to run? My LS7 clutch made it 200 miles behind my techco and you'll be making more power with the 2300

running that same clutch on my setup.
after 1k miles i called in to see why i still had chatter. monster told me to stop driving like a granny and beat on it....haha. apparently the stage 3's require no break in.
its either in or out, there is no slipping that clutch. however, when it grabs, you know it's not going to let loose!

Re: LS1 Swap Crew: This is my Supercharged LS1 swap thread
just talked to the fabricator this past week. STILL hasn't touched the car. WTF!
I guess he had a few cars to finish and get out the door and he said my car was next. If I don't hear any updates by Friday I'm going to have the car sent somewhere else. 3 weeks and not even touching the car is bogus.

Agreed! Aftermarket is frustrating at times. At least your not in WI where there is only 6-8 weeks left in the season. It's worth the wait, though.

Re: LS1 Swap Crew: This is my Supercharged LS1 swap thread
RPM transmissions did it. They seem to have an amazing shop with a good bunch of guys working there.
They rebuilt the transmission, and have to change the front plate and bellhousing not only to bolt to the LS1, but to allow for the LS1 clutch to work.

Re: LS1 Swap Crew: This is my Supercharged LS1 swap thread
So I heard from the fabricator that after 3 and a half weeks (3 weeks of not even touching my car) the EXHAUST is done, and nothing else. Here is a clip of the bill for the work done so far
I'm so LIVID right now! I've asked this man THREE times for a quote and always heard "yeah ok I will" and then this bill gets dropped on me. Not to mention the exhaust still isn't done! Oh no, there will be another $220 in labor added on to the bill tomorrow!! Yep, thats right. He wants to charge $2561.45 to make a Y pipe and install a catback.
HOLY. ****. I haven't been this pissed in a long time.
I'm leaving my house at 5am tomorrow to go down there and crack some skulls together.

yea that sounds outrageoues for something thats pretty simple oval tubing might be lil more expensive but still thats way to much shops around here charge about 170 to 250 for the y pipe
i get to cracking skulls to if i seen that
hopfully its a error or typo

It takes 38 hours to build a cat back in a full shop?
Took 6-10hrs for each of my systems with jack stands and a creeper using whatever scraps I've got laying around. Headers back

Re: LS1 Swap Crew: This is my Supercharged LS1 swap thread
Is he making it out of oval tubing bends and straight sections & tig welding them? If so, he might actually have been makin these hours since they are a lot more complex to put together than normal weld elbows and straight sections because of the stuff only fitting together without big gaps if you cut the pieces just right....something to think about. I have built quite a few hand built stainless exhaust systems from scratch using weld els and straight sections. The last one I did on a 73 formula cost me more than 18hrs for sure. It's the fitting and figuring out how to get it all routed that's the labour intensive part.

the point is had the man given me the quote I asked for I never in a million years would have approved it
