Project LT3 officially starting!!!!!!!
Just a couple of hours ago, I purchased a good running 1994 Camaro Z28 for $600!!!!!!! Has 145k on it. Was in a wreck and totaled. Guy's son was fooling around and showing off. Burning out and such. Ended up power sliding (driver side door) into a telephone pole, breaking the telephone pole in half!!!!!!! Son lived, but was pretty bad off. Drive-Train is in PERFECT condition. Even has disc brakes. Interior is a 6/10. Exterior isn't too bad, but the driver side is HORRIBLE!!! So I shall swap over the drivetrain, interior, and anything else that will swap. Then, junking the car with my current 3rd gen drivetrain to make some money back. WOOOOOOOT!!!!!!!!!!! They even threw in the Hypertech Power Programmer III 345752 and some other stuff too!!!
I have bookmarked and read lots of LT1 swap threads. Only thing I'm really worried about is the wiring. I've read that it's only like 10 wires to splice together but it's a bit complicating so I will go with an open mind and PREPARED!!!

Re: Project LT3 officially starting!!!!!!!
Hey peeps, I've been reading a lot of swap threads lately. I'm wondering if I take the next week off from work, could I get this completed? I'm über excited to get started but know not to rush things. A lot of the threads are helpful, yet confusing. Like,
1) swapping in an LT from TBI will need new fuel fitting and hoses and such...could I just use all of that from my donor car?
2) swapping in 4th gen disk brakes will need new brake lines...can't I use the donor cars brake lines?
3) do I have to cut up the harness THAT much if I plan on using the 4th gen dash and interior?? Like, the speedometer and gauges should be fine, right?
It's like, lots of these threads are very informative...but are kind of directed at people that do not have the whole car to pull from. And I understand most of them don't. Anyone here use a donor car for swapping??

It is a ls1 swap, but since he had a complete donor car and used the dash just like you intend on, quite a large bit of what this guy has done should be very helpfull and apply to your project as well.

1. I know people have used LS fuel lines, but not sure on the LT1. For about $100 you can buy or make the lines yourself with -an fittings. Here is a post by ghettocruiser on here about how he used LS1 lines, but chopped the front part. https://www.thirdgen.org/forums/post...246-post2.html
2. Are you talking about the rear disc brakes? If so the 4th gen rear is wider , but you may be able to use your stock lines depending on the year. I used one stock line from an LS rear and bent up a new line for the other on my dads swap. Came out very nice.
3. I have not done the interior swap so I can't speak to this.
4. Wiring is not that hard if you take your time and follow the instructions on here and other sites.

I used a donor car for my LS1 swap and it helped out a ton for most of the little parts.

2) See #1. FWIW, late 3rd gens use the same fittings as 4th gens, so hooking the 4th gen rear axle line to the 3rd gen chassis fitting requires nothing. LT1 rear disk brakes are identical to late 3rd gen disk brakes. The front brakes will follow the LS1 brake upgrade route but with a different bracket
3) If you use everything, then the only changes will be exterior lights

1) With a few bends, yes. Easier to make new lines from the framerail to the fuel rail and upgrade the pump
