Re: 92 RS 25th Ann. Edition 4.8/T56 build thread
So, had some "fun" and some fun this past week.
Took the car to get an alignment after work on Wednesday. Drove great, very comfortable even with the stiffer springs. Learning how to avoid the spots where the pipes will scrape. Anyway, as we're getting close to the shop, I notice my temp gauge is creeping up around 220 which is odd, considering it usually sits no higher than 180. Right about the 235 mark, I became very alarmed and pulled over fast. Damn fans weren't coming on any more, and I was a solid 40 miles from the house, at 6:00pm at night with nothing but rush hour ahead of me.
Needless to say, I went ahead and got the alignment done, let it cool off, and by the time it was all done traffic had dissipated. No issues coming home, except for quite a few scrapes on the worst highway in the world... sigh.
Anyway, dove into diag the following day. Really easy, thankfully... all I had to do was put power and ground to each fan motor to make sure they were good, checked to make sure the relays clicked on when I commanded them, and narrowed it down to either a short or possibly issue with my power distribution block. Fuses were good, so I put my multimeter across the terminals, and yep.. no voltage. Pulled it out, and the damn thing looked like it was hit with a fireball.. melted all the way through. WAAAAY too much amperage. Thankfully, had a spare so I rewired the fans to go directly from battery, and put everything else on the PD block.
Took the missus to a Grudge, no prep drag event Saturday. Spent almost 12 hours out there, and even by 2am, they still weren't done. Was pretty wild to see... retaining wall saved us from being hit by a car that didn't want to go straight lol... lots of debris though. She loved every second of it, and kept hinting at getting my turbo build going so I could take V to compete in the street class. Apparently, me saying No isn't an option.
Last bit of info I've got is having to put the SFC's and torque arm on hold for the time being. Shipping throws it way outside what I expected, but should be about 2 more weeks and I'll get them ordered.
Edit: Oh! I forgot another part of the "fun"... Did an oil change before we left for the strip, and the damn wheels were way off again... finally narrowed it down to stripped bolts on my tie-rod adjusters.. even after I replaced them. So, I've got new Pro-forged adjusters coming in tomorrow and I'm going to fix this issue once and for all.

I can do my best. I haven't taken mine apart yet. Haven't done much of anything on it in a while, tbh, except for bump steer kit. I've got a new project/daily. Shoot me a PM.
