LTX and LSXPutting LT1s, LS1s, and their variants into Third Gens is becoming more popular. This board is for those who are doing and have done the swaps so they can discuss all of their technical aspects including repairs, swap info, and performance upgrades.
Another shot of “Alexis💙” while she patiently waits for some attention. The big move is coming up! Going to be taking her home to the garage and start cracking down in the next week or so. Lots of things on the way and a full roll cage will be the first step with tons of photos! Stay tuned!!
Looks like a fun project my friend! But please tell me you have something else besides those blocks and boards supporting the rear of the car! Safety first, make sure it’s good and stable!
Starting to pull some necessities from the blue connector 🤟🏼 Started getting a little messy, oh well (don’t mind the carpet, this room isn’t in the house so dirt and pine needles get tracked in regularly) I find a pocket screw driver tends to work the best Everything needed is out! Sectioned all off and out to the side for the night. It’s been a long day🏁
I dont miss those days of doing harness work lol i built my ls 24x harness for my sbc turbo conversion, a ls swap harness for an s10, and a 6 spd conversion on a auto trans am

nice! I would love to pick up an s10 for when the camaro is done. But I’d want to put a 383 in if I did.
Getting a little farther. Have the blue connector completely stripped bare and half of the red one done. Spent a decent chunk of hours since I was labeling everything I needed then the ones I didn’t need I kept a log of as I went in a note book of connector color, PIN number, wire color, and function and a written fuse box diagram as well of everything incase anything I removed needed to be put back also just to have as a reference to make future projects go a bit smoother.
As I started things started to get messy again anyway and had me elbow deep in a spaghetti dinner fit for a family of four haha. Didn’t mind because having it cleaned up and sectioned off before this began still helped get everything labeled and accounted for much faster and efficiently.still went decently smooth other than the dreaded 02 sensor setup. That took a little bit to get all the wires unbunched from each other neatley wrapped up because it was wrapping around everything as the pile was being scouted through and flipped around to follow wires from the pcm connectors back to their rightful plug or fuse box placement.
Hey everybody just an update I’ve been off the forum for a bit had other things to handle. Purchased a new shop location and have a mustang in for full rust repair so I’ve have the camaro on the back burner, stacking some funds! More updates soon!
Here’s some photos of some cuts I had to make to get spray foam out of the mustang in question before getting the whole quarter out
