Check engine light wiring?

Hello everyone!
im im pretty much done with the wiring for the solo harness but the check engine light doesnt come on when i turn the key. I wired it to the brown/white wire. Is this correct or is there another wire im supposed to use instead?

I used socket C in the C207 for my 1988 Firebird. I would confirm the correct socket for your year vehicle and the pin out from whatever ECM you're using.

Did the light work before the swap?

Re: Check engine light wiring?

I had to bypass the cel driver module. I just connected output from my ecm to yellow wire at cel driver. Basically just bypassing the driver module.

Pocket,
Just wanted to say thanks!! I used your wire harness guide when I did my LS swap. Would have been impossible without it!!

Re: Check engine light wiring?

Word of caution I put LED bulbs in the cluster and for the CEL light you get a very subtle glow from the LED even with no trigger from the PCM. May not happen with all LED bulbs but it doesn't happen with the factory style incandescent bulbs. But it seems there is just enough grounding potential somewhere to get a slight glow. That was the only bulb that did it and its a straight wire to the PCM.
